The 1998 team was just exciting, I watched the replay on ESPN Classic this past Friday....I would rather watch that team do warmups than to stomach the boredom of UT Football during the 2000's....

We are only two years removed from that and we got hammered 3 times and lost to an LSU team that was injured in key areas. Why are you acting like UT is playing with the big boys right now? They are light years away from Florida and USC talent.

I am not acting like they are anything. Saying that Tennessee's talent is light years away from fla and sc is your opinion.

I agree, we should, the problem I have is that we have been hearing this "what til next year" talk for too long. I know we can't win the NC every year or even compete for one every year but I would like to sniff it on occasion.

My biggest conflict about next year is that the last time I felt this confidence about next year was going into the 2005 season. I didn't expect a 'sniff of the NC' this year.

We played for the sec. Which is the number one goal coming into the season.
