I, for several, don't want a quick hire here. This is bigger than a recruit lost here or there. I want a OC guy that will create a trademark of dominance in the SEC for several years. This is a big decision and I think CBJ is weighing the best options available at this time. If it takes two days, or two weeks, I trust his decision. That is why he is payed the big bucks. This is not as easy as managing a fantasy football team, and just because you have won your league for a couple years does not make your opinion relevant.

Don't know of anyone clamoring for a quick hire....just don't particularly like the name we are currently hearing as the frontrunner. This has that Derek Dooley or Sal Sunseri smell all over it.

I just read a post stating that we need to hire someone quickly and others saying before nsd. I agree with you about a quick hire with some of these names I've seen is a mistake. Azzani with some added help would be decent, otherwise I want the best available candidate for the job, just not the best available candidate for the job in the next few days.

Well, the timing of Bajakian's departure sure does suck. Right before NSD, when other coaches are clawing and scratching to steal some of our prized commits. Especially Preston Williams.

If we could only make it Legg, Frost, Meachum, Rob Smith or one among a few others, we'd be in good shape with keeping what we have and maybe flipping OT Richmond at the last minute.

We already lost some good players from this team (transfer). We pulled a scholly from DE Marquez Ford (Bruce Irvin clone), which was a kick to the Jimmies...and now another kick to them with this word of DeBord.

This is get more and more depressing by the minute.

Sounds like we may not have to worry about Williams flipping to Auburn:

Don't know if true but if so with all the talent and speed on O and our D with who's coming back and the size and talent coming in, Oh crap we would be dangerous.....

Maybe this will calm the natives on here a little bit. If the plan moves forward that I heard about, then Azzani will move into the roll of OC, with the kid Sheridan taking over as QB coach. That would be nine coaches on staff--all we are allowed. Dubord will take over as offensive quality control guy--sorta an oversight guy to help Azzani move into this new position. With Dubords background and experience, he could pitch in with several positions that way. Azzani will still take care of receivers I guess, I was a little fuzzy on that."

I can handle DeBord as a quality control coach and sheridan as QBs coach. Also Azzani at OC isn't a bad idea. If butch wants to keep familiarity then this is the way to do it. I love this idea way more than DeBord at OC but would prefer a proven OC like Legg

Agreed. CZA isn't my first choice but prefer that over Debord being the OC.

This in spades and buckets..... Give the players familiarity and also leave Azzani on staff and also add experience. Let's hope this is the case, but if it is not coming from a beat writer then it is just idle gossip
