I am no expert by any means, but you would think that if the guy was a a great coach someone would have offered him a position over the last 2 years. Again, I'm no X's and O's guru, but it just seems weird to me.
Call me crazy if you wish, but I feel pretty confident that a man with a Master's degree, and 30 years coaching experience on the offensive side of the ball (25 in college and 5 in the NFL), could surely learn Butch's offense.
All I know is that the football staff operates in a workplace. Debord has been in said workplace with Jones, Jancek, Stripling, and Martinez previously. Mahoney coached at Central Mich the year before Debord was head coach, and Azzanni was a player on that team. I would think that the staff knows his talents better than you or I do.Hmmm I wonder why this guy, with all this experience, hasn't been guiding some high powered offenses in the past 10 years? Wonder why no other D1 school hasn't given him the chance to be their OC?

This hire would be a total train wreck. It doesn't matter how much total experience the guy has. We need a current guy who can inject some life into the offense. A dinosaur, whom cannot even get a job with the current university he works at and is a pro style offensive guy, is not the direction CBJ needs to go with. If this hire is based off of familiarity instead of need and ability, then CBJ is not our guy.
Right, but he named Tim Drevno as his off. coord .at Michigan. Trevno has worked with Harbaugh at San Diego St, Stanford, and the S.F. 49ers. He coached the o-line for 3 years at S.F. under Harbaugh. So, there goes your argument. He left both of the Coordinators at San Fran....so there goes that argument.
