Chris Kyle: American hero or

Here's where you're wrong, spacehead.

Serving is not a minimum wage job.

See, here in the great state of Tennessee, people think of lowly servers as they think of welfare recipients. A great irony, considering how much they whine about having to pay for them.

Here in the great state of Tennessee, oh wise one, servers earn a little over 2 dollars per hour.

They depend upon your church-going gratitude for the rest of their livelihood.

But, who am I kidding? You're so smart! You knew all of this.

here's the issue in your argument, they chose a server job over a minimum wage job

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

The Holy one, with more money than God, himself speaks.

So you apparently don't live in Knoxville, even though your handle suggest you do.

Do you too think that servers make minimum wage and that your tips are just a blessing?

My kids waited tables all through college and on average made between $12 and $15 an hour.

More when they bartended.

Well good for them and your precious heart, sweetheart.

Most servers don't though.

I guess you just instilled such excellent virtues in your children that they were inherently great servers.

And to think none of you have ever heard of Louis's in Knoxville.

Clowns.

If I remember correctly, the pay structure is that it is minimum wage. It's something like $2.15 an hour and if the "reported" tips don't make minimum the restaurant has to make up the difference. If you only make $6 in tips in an hour it's either incredibly slow, the server needs to find another job, or your working in the wrong restaurant.

Actually where they worked most did. And yes, they both have an excellent work ethic. My wife and I insisted on it. And no, I've never heard of the place. Must be a dive downtown.

P.S. They both would laugh at you and your whining.

tipping? dubya t F mate!

since we are on the topic this is how I tip. (just the tip)

$22.00 meal..take 22 double it to 44 then make it $4.40..an even 20%. I learned this the hard way by dating a chick who was a waitress and the horror she experienced when she saw I was only leaving 10%.
