Leb I think I've decided you can't be a Vol fan anymore. You are sentenced to life in Conference USA. You may choose any school you like. You will find much greater happiness there.

Not a Vol fan because I would take a few guys who held UT offers over some others who held UT offers?

Gilliam is going to Wake. Vaughn is deciding between Purdue, Illinois and WVU because he's so elite. Givens is meh. You would've taken that QB, Matt something, that had no offers except a non commitable UT offer. Ugo andFord would be the highlight of your class. And nobody would want to commit because you're team would be full of scrubs

Matt Williams as a walk on QB still makes ALOT of sense. Thanks for reminding me.

And there is nothing wrong with that. Your team would just have an 8-9 win ceiling and would never compete for championships. Most all people in major college football do not want that. You are in the minority. That is not an insult. I know the minority is your comfort zone. At least finding parking is not a problem, perks....

8-9 wins, maybe. Maybe more. You don't have to have all 4-5* talent to win a title. Quality role players are key.

Of course not. I'd look at needs and accept commitments accordingly. I'd know if I plan to sign 2 RBs and am interested in 8 kids, I would not take a commitment from one I would drop later. Kids would quickly realize the way I recruit and see waiting around May not be a good idea. You know, kind of like it works now since CBJ took over.

Has nothing to do with Butch. Has to do with the circumstances surrounding this recruitment. As has been noted by others. UT better be very careful about this situation regardless of where this kid signs.
