Question. How in the crap did we lose to Bama this year?

Alabama wasn't in freefall mode when we played them.

And I'd think they'd beat us again if we played today.

I dont discredit anything you guys are saying but they WON FOOTBALL GAMES and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

USC was close, but a win. 2nd half was ugly though.

UK was close but a win and had some receivers not dropped some key 3rd downs, we would have extended drives and put that game away a lot earlier

Vandy... close but a win. It's just like that sometimes and that's what Im talking about when I say the found a little heart.

LSU.... that injured back-up played his ass off. HOw many times did we absolutely kill him and he just popped right back up and went about his game?

Don't try and downplay what we did against Arky either.... you can call them one-dimensional or whatever, but we shut them down.... period. LSU has a team loaded with All-Americans couldn't do it a couple of weeks after.

Closing your eyes to the NUMEROUS weaknesses and poor performances of UT's team is how you end up with a season like 2005. This team could easily have been sub-.500 this year. We are not a good team.

look at the overall series record, son. if we ever get ahead, then talk to me.
is it hard to be condescending with your head in your arse?

I'm an Army fan and the Army - Navy series remains close historically, but Navy has won the past five meetings. The relevance of the 1947 game is exactly frickin' 0. Same for 1948-2002, old timer.

I think Tennessee is just going to beat the absolute s*** out of Bama when they get back to Neyland. They know they had no business losing that game, and revenge is a dish best served cold. They have a year to think about that embarrassment. I have a feeling it will be their Georgia game.

Bama beats us next year. A first-year starter at QB will be our undoing.

I'm not downplaying what we did against arky. That was the lone defensive bright spot, IMO.

I'm not arguing that we didn't find some heart or weren't gritty, I'm just saying that hat's assertion of our not being very good probably still applies.

o.k., look at the last TWO years, home and away.

Yeah man, it killed us in 1998.

We didn't win games in 1998 because of our quarterback. We won them because of an absolutely stellar running game, a great defense, and several lucky breaks. The only one of those 3 that our current team has shown is the lucky breaks.

You're making my point. The QB won't be our undoing, the GLARING WEAKNESSES at DE, DT, and WR will be our undoing.

Not very good in relation to what? We won 9 games and the East... and like I've already said.... we were within a pick-6 of beating the team that is playing for the NC? How on God's Green Earth is that not good? Im sure there are any number of things you can point out to say that we could've done better but to simply state that we arent any good is silly. I gotta run but I'll recheck later. Have fun picking me apart.

the point has been from the beginning that our defense is not very good. relative to the teams that kicked our teeth in, for starters.

also, alabama leads the overall series by 7 games. since when is that owning somebody? if you want to see a series where one team owns the other historically, look at ours with vandy and kentucky.
