What I'm afraid of (and this is pure speculation) is that the staff is thinking they don't get Allen and they are pushing for Richmond more than Richmond is pushing to mend fences and come to UT. Hope I am wrong and it's still a bit of leftover pessimism from the doofus era.

Getting both Allen and Richmond would be amazing. That would be about the best class that any of us could've hoped for. We would've filled every need I could think of. Maybe came up a little short at safety but that's really trying to find something to pick at.

I agree. If we get one of the 2 I'm thrilled. I'm so pumped about Vols sports right now!

After watching Kyle Phillips in his all-star game a couple weeks ago I'm almost giddy.

I agree, I think if we get a last minute official visit. He'll be a Vol. Now I don't they they'll turn away Pat Allen if he wanted to commit as well.

I wish Bruce would have filed a lawsuit. Not to win but for leverage purposes. The NCAA doesn't want to go to court.

I have heard about all of these things that Penn State is getting back, and apparently their lawsuit has created this.

I agree he should have.

And I think it's garbage that Paterno is getting his wins back.

Several have stated that they would feel uncomfortable if DR flipped to UT. Sure, Allen is a real want and need and comes with less drama. Both would be nice. However, were DR to come here, it's unlikely he would devote 3-4 years trying to do damage to a school he disliked. Also, the possibility of being kicked out for sabotage would be a serious and permanent blot on his resume. If Butch finds him acceptable, we should trust Butch. That's why he's coach and we're not.

In any case if Devinner is anywhere near the kid, we need to get the F away from him. Not surprising that stuff happens in recruiting, hell it happens all the time every year but Devinner is sloppy and ignorant.

He's a "handler"...basically a guy who weasels his way into the lives of recruits and tries to manipulate them for his own benefit. He hates UT and is rumored to be pretty dirty. He's also a fat slob who "shole is hongry."

For those who don't know, Byron De'Vinner is a tPOS handler from Tennessee but he specializes in the Memphis area. He also runs a 7 on 7 football camp and has a "charity" in which he begs for donations. He was questioned last year involving the recruitment of Will Redmond(Miss St) and has been rumored to be involved with many high profile Tennessee recruits.

He posted this on his Facebook today
