'15 MD OT Pat Allen

Seriously can't afford to miss on Allen, St louis, and Richmond..

From some of the things I've read on Richmond we probly can't afford to land him.....I'd hate to ruin momentum on the crutin trail for 1 player... No matter how big of a need he his, I don't care how good he is if he's gonna be trouble.

I've heard things on him too, I don't know what to think about the situation

Hubbs saying dawgs have made a real push back vs Callahan saying we have a slight edge- who is usually more accurate? Thanks guys!!

My honest opinion, is that the kid is torn. Hard to make accurate predictions when even the kid isn't 100% sure.

Welcome to the silly season. Always happens this time of year.

Real push back could still mean we have a slight edge. It just is different from the large lead Hubbs felt like we had last week.

I would love to have Allen, don't get me wrong.

But we have a great class already committed. No one is a "must have" at this point with 28 guys already committed, 4 of which are OL, 2 of which are OT and already enrolled.

There is a big difference between a prototypical LT and a RT (Jones). There is also a big difference between prototypical LT and project LT coming off an Achilles injury (Hall).

Allen (or any bona fide LT) is a need. He projects best at LT over pretty much everyone on the 2014 and 2015 roster save for Blair who has yet to see the field in any meaningful context.

Not all OL are created equal and not all OTs are created equal.

Don't you think Coach hide Blair out like he tried to do to Dobbs.

I like to think Blair has been eating red meat all day, running up Locust street, swimming across the Lake Loudon, and getting John-Henderson-slapped all day since the Gator Bowl.

It's not clear that St. Louis is an option since we may not get a visit before NSD. Pulling him out of FL will be tough. Allen and Johnson look like our best chance to add an additional OT. UGA is still heavily pursuing Allen. We need CBJ and CDM to close the deal. Johnson will take longer to develop and be ready for the SEC. Going to be an interesting couple of weeks.

Hall said that he will be taking part in spring practice. Let's hope he is back to 100%.

Hall could be really good, but he isn't ready to play LT. We need to land Allen. We can't keep banking on the development of players like Hall in such a crucial position. Our OL, in terms of size, is average at best, especially if you take out Kendrick, Thomas, and Blair. Go compare the size of our OTs to other elite SEC team's OTs and get back to me with the results... We need as many players like Allen as we can get

Agree to disagree. We need at least one more TRUE OT.

Offensive line is a development position.
