I'm constantly on the fence with this one from a football perspective. All the red flags, plus VFL34's assessment are saying Pass. Tough call on this one.

This. I don't understand why if you were planning on sexually assaulting someone you would text them to give them a heads up unless you are the type of person who enjoys playing video games on insane difficulty. If it was just sexting the majority of teenagers are doing that whether you want to believe it or not

I'm fine with him not coming here. I also give credence to a lot (not all) of the information posted on here that paints this kid as a pass.

Just because you are lobbying hard against those with information doesn't make it untrue. It seems like anything negative that comes up about Richmond is considered a non-issue by you.

Edit: reading this post I want to say that i should be more careful in what I say here. Accusing a teenage kid of being a complete dirt bag based on information found on a message board is NOT right.

I was mostly referring to Richmond's behavior during the recruiting process.

And I was teasing another poster a bit too.

very well could be, and if we discard the texts there are plenty of reasons to stay away. We have been constantly hearing rumors and talk from 'reputable' sources that there are some underlying i$$ue$ the general public doesn't know about. Seems like we are constantly hearing about something questionable and it seems the kid is becoming radioactive.

I will only speak for myself but it seems like there is enough smoke around this kid to the point that I don't want him because of that alone.

then there are the reports he was recruiting Newsome to Ole Miss while here, and then the coaches dropping his recruitment right after that visit. that last point can't be argued, the coaches dropped this kid after making him a priority, something happened, we on the outside are just guessing.

Frank Haith among others have been busted for the exact same thing (lying) and more. They were hit with much lesser penalties. At the time of Pearls incident the NCAA was flexing their muscle. Since then, with all their troubles, they have been much more lenient, to save face, and stop all the talk of breaking away from the NCAA. So yeah, the problem was the NCAA and it got blown way outta proportion.

i am not saying i am naive enough to think we don't do it at some level, i am just saying when it gets out there like it is with Richmond we just let him slide on by.
