On three occasions I've went out of my way to post something about a recruit.

1. info on Adoree which was from a guy who went on the recruiting visit with the coaches.

2. An epic troll job by Barnett when I walked past him heading to a friends in Crown apartments and I asked how was enjoying his visit to which he answered "I like Vandy better."

3. Preston Williams, because the guy who went on the coaches to see Adoree also helped place Prestons ex gf in the track program, and was recruitimg him to run track here also.

I'm not sure how me posting those things qualifies me as an insider, I never asked for that title. I'm a guy who loves the Vols who isn't afraid to pass along info.

Edit: and as far as Richmonds shady business I'm not naming names and wont repeat specifics but it was in lieu of him trying to get in recruits ears about Ole Miss. There are plenty of things that have said that I don't know about involving his recruitment, but I have heard about the shadyness. That's all.

Sometimes OH has taken some ribbing from me. He posts things on a message board and regardless if it is true, some hammer just to hammer him and even OV or others. Some just get happy to put down other people just for the sake of it. It is stupid and makes good info that can change because recruiting is fluid, stop being posted by those who hear something like OH or real people with inside stuff. Some just like being mean. Such is life. But, hate it when we lose out in info.

A good old fashioned ribbing is fine, that doesn't bother me lol. It's the ones who follow me from thread to thread constantly reminding me that I was "wrong about Adoree" or whatever. People are wrong in recruiting all the time, but it seems as if people just like to point me out for whatever reason lol.

Whatever, I've been here for almost 8 years I've developed a thick skin. I'll keep doing me even if it does pi$$ a few idiots in my fan club off.

I just get this weird Gabe Wright vibe from this dude. I wonder if he is just trolling at this point?

Richmond has always liked UT and especially the coaches. Was it ever confirmed by VQ or 247 guys that he actually recruited players to Ole Miss while on a UT visit? Timing could be coincidental, but UT stopped heavily recruiting him as the message become clearer and clearer that his family wanted him close to home.

Regardless of all the drama, Richmond has never publicly bashed UT. Every article I've read about Richmond has typically included nothing but good comments about UT and the coaches. So, no, I don't think he is "trolling" UT. I also don't think this is anything like Gabe Wright because Wright told the coaches he would commit to UT, potentially on multiple occasions.

Regarding Drew recruiting for OleMiss while on campus, Jayson Swain repeated it again this morning as though it's forgone, common knowledge. Tifwiw.

I don't think either site has and not sure they would with the slight chance that we could get involved. They know how fans will react to something like that especially in today's world with Twitter.

Drew was flashing them dolla bills yall and told the recruits he could hook 'em up if they went to Ole Miss. That's pretty much what I expect happened.

I think that's disrespectful, and I don't like it (if it's true). I don't like a drama-filled recruitment anymore than others on here, but I won't have any sour grapes if he chooses UT in the end. We simply are not in a position to turn away top OTs, which includes Allen, St. Louis, and Richmond.

Jayson Swain is apparently making it public knowledge. Isn't that almost just as bad as it being said by VQ or 247?

He wasn't advocating we turn the kid away. He, as someone pretty close to the program and staff, continues to give validity to something that some have wondered was actually true after it was initially reported.......that DR was actively recruiting for OleMiss while on an unofficial visit this season. I personally value Swain's word and opinion quite a bit and believe that it likely happened if HE says it, where I wouldn't if it was the average run of the mill VNer (save GFW, NotoriousRPP, et al)....no offense to all of us run of the mill VNers.

I don't even know why everyone is so high on this guy. He got absolutely dominated at the all star game.

Most people are just freaking out because of our OL problems and think we need every O-Lineman that has a thread. In the Richmond thread alone there are promises of 28 left nuts, 5 right nuts, and someones first born if we land him.

The way for Drew to settle this question would be for him to commit to UT (if the staff still is interested) and play lights out, as he supposedly can.

I didn't watch all star game but he had some really good reps vs Cowart in practice one on ones. He has loads of potential in Year 2/3 in a program is why people are high in him. He isn't a guy that will be ready to make a Tunsil/Robinson day 1 impact.

You mean northeast Tennessee, one of the best places on the planet. Need a road trip go try to find a little place called the Laurel Bloomery. It's on hwy 91 north of Mountain City.

Been there several times. My wife's family lives there and in butler, well what's left of em anyway. That's where se was raised was butler. Beautiful country, it's startin to get over run with retirees from Floriduh now tho.

Farmers State Bank in Butler and the Main Bank on Main Street and the 421 branch...we took the Christmas Decorations off those 3 buildings last Wednesday and returned to Bristol through Laurel Bloomery and Damascus...

Wow, I'm flattered that you keep such close tabs on me. So a handful of posts and I've been here since 09.

And through the process I've learned that not only coaches opinion on situations can be wrong, but also information from players can be too. I am simply repeating things that I head, I could give a ____ less about likes man. I've been here for quite some time And stay because I enjoy this forum, sans posters like yourself who follow me around keeping tabs on each and every post.

Get a life or get a hobby bro.

No offense here because I believe you do hear things from dealing with players.

However, don't act like you've only tried 4 times to act like an authority on things. You definitely come across on here that you know a lot even though you don't.

Again, I do believe you say what you hear. It's not your fault it's not solid info.

Ok. There are many here that played college ball, or are coaches, or have had children that have gone through the recruiting process. The problem is that there are many more that haven't. Those who have will back me up on this. The recruiting process is a crazy, crazy thing. The better the recruit, the crazier it is. You have parents who really get caught up it all the hype and fantasy that is created by coaches, boosters, etc. With that being said, how do you not expect a 17-18 year old kid not to. Some kids are extremely mature and have a very good support system around them that have nothing but the best intentions for the kids. Some kids are extremely gullible and have people around them that are looking for a meal ticket and only their own personal interests in mind. I have mentioned this in other threads, but again as members of VN, if you consider yourself a mature adult. Please stop hating on these kids. I don't care if they said something you didn't like on Twitter, or led our coaches to believe they were coming here and committed elsewhere, or even tried to recruit against us while on a visit. If they are not some kind of gangbanging, dope dealing, home invading criminal is that other little petty stuff really that serious? What have they done to hurt you personally? From all accounts DR is not a bad kid. Neither are many of these kids that receive personal attacks on VN because they didn't choose our school in the most mature way possible. I know that I can't change anyone through a post on here, but if the actions of teenagers being recruited affect you so much that you have to say vile things about them on the Internet, maybe following recruiting is just not for you.
