I think during a dead period the staff can make one call to the recruit per week. No in person contact is permitted. Recruits can contact the staff as much as they like.

Not sure of the extent but I know phone calls and electronic communication are permitted. Its only face to face, in home visits, etc that are prohibited. January is going to feel really congested now that they increased the dead period by two weeks.

This. It's not no contact it's no face to face so no visits

@ShawnBRivals: Had a quick talk w @Guarantano18 , gave me his final top 3 of (in no order) #Tennessee # #Rutgers & #OhioState.

@ShawnBRivals: A lot of ties at #Tennessee for JG, Current OC is Bergen Cath grad and Butch Jones was GA while dad was at RU.

And Tylin Oden is an intriguing prospect who also has an offer. Not sure if that offer is commitable or if he might play a different position in college.

Pretty sure that's a committable offer. Kid is a baller - just thin like a twig. He should rack up some nice offers once he hits the camp circuits.

Yes. 2 QBs. Kendall knows Butch is going after another QB, apparently when we offered Oden Butch spoke to Kendall about it and made sure it was ok. Or something like that.

Assuming Peterman goes elsewhere NSD 2016 would mean 6 (Dobbs, QD, Jones, JJ, Kendall, +1) QBs on scholly. I know these things always seem to work themselves out, but is that normal?

If I remember right without goin back n researchin, I think CBJ stated he wanted 5-6 QBs on scholly at all times. Somebody please clarify or correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you'd like to have 4-5. Six would be a high number IMO, but, like you said, these things tend to work themselves out.

5 is usually the norm. 6 is definitely okay (especially when one of on your QBs is athletic enough to play more than 1 position)!

I see this depth chart in the coming years and feel like we are about to hit another run of qbs like occurred from the late 80's to Ainge (give or take)

Hard to believe but Dobbs is entering his JR season. We know its highly unlikely Jones and Dormady are here together until the end of their eligability. And it's not a guarantee Jennings stays at QB. Austin and Jarrett make sense for '16
