I thought VolNation no longer wanted Richmond?

At first we were like:

Then he committed to Ole Pi$$ and was recruiting for them on a visit to UT. Then we were all like:

He'll flip back to us on NSD just like Sawyers did, and everybody will be pumped about it. I mean, playing with your friends always peers pressures one to not want to be left out.

I feel the same way, but I doubt GFW will get up early on his Sunday morning just to deliver a recruiting nugget. Delayed gratification is way better anyway.

*wipes down boom cannon*

Here's my opinion of the interesting info coming from GFW.

Drew called the coaches, begged to come on a visit, and told them he wanted to flip to the Vols. The coaches called Allen and told him that they had another OT prospect on the phone, wanting to commit, and wanted to know if he was a Vol or not. Allen committed on the phone, and Drew was told no, and to enjoy his stay in Oxford.

I'd be good with that. Especially if DR came here in the past and actively recruiting against us. Get on board when CBJ asks or you will be recruited over

Don't want - over rated - been dropping hard in the rankings - a red shirt project at best.

"Give us Allen or give us death"

I agree with this. And they way he acted during the recruitment, I have a feeling he feels entitled.

If he does end up a vol, though, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt

Be funny if DR Blindsided Ol Piss. Probably make a good movie.

We need a LT. At this point, the coaches probably have a good heads up on whatever inroads UGA has made with Allen. St.Louis seems likely to be going somewhere in Florida. If they feel taking Richmond is the prudent thing, then do it. Hopefully, he is not needed as a starter next year. Hopefully Blair has developed into the LT we need. But with good coaching(praying Mahoney can coach), and a year in the S&C program, maybe he can live up to his potential.

The fact is, it's the biggest position of need left on the board. I'm sure the coaches have evaluated and reevaluated his tapes. If they see him as a take, even after his supposed antics, he's a take. We need a LT to groom for the future, and we can't pin our hopes on a superstud falling into our laps next year.

JMO, but I suspect the UT commits/returning players would forgive Richardson (if needed) and welcome him to the team far more quickly than some of the posters on this board.
