If being serious: No. As I understand the rules, a blue shirted player must not have been recruited in any way. We brought the staff, a police escort, and the kitchen sink to Malone's house for an in-home visit.

I just don't see any way that any quality player who has scholarship offers could be blue shirted under NCAA rules... and to my knowledge I've never seen it happen.

If I'm wrong here, someone please fill me in

Doesn't help with the 25 initial counters but does help with the 85 total scholarship limit.

The transfers help us reach the 85 number, which is the maximum amount of scholarships allowed. The yearly limit is still 25. To go over 25, we are going to have to count some guys forward one way or another. Some years you can count guys backward, which we did last year.

As someone who lives in North Texas, his parents are certifiable if they would rather him be here than Knoxville. Seriously. How could you do that to your child? This flat concrete jungle that is a literal furnace 9 months out of the year...I've got to move!

No. Too hard to guess. Logic would dictate a guess of 25. Obviously they are taking more than that so who knows?

I would really love to see that quote though that is attributed to Butch. Our true number is at 23 or 24 initial qualifiers, and to get another 9 to 10 on scholarship by counting them forward would cut next years incoming class down to 15 on initial qualifiers.

28 is what I've heard in the past. Hyams and another reporter said Jones said he thought they might be able to get to 29 and forward count some guys, which of course blew old Jimmy's mind, lol.

Austin pretty nice actually although their motto is "Keep Austin Weird". Except for all them fellars playing for the other team, it's a fun place to party and the TX hill country is right next door which is even more fun. JMO

Recruiting is more enjoyable, IMO, when I put ZERO thought to how the numbers work. I can think of 3 million reasons why Butch will figure this out.
