I like Memphis, but to me it's a worse version of St Louis, which is an hour and a half from me. When I go to Tennessee, I'm going to Knoxville and Nashville.

St. Louis isn't bad, they have the Cardinals. Memphis has the Grizzlies and the Red birds, fun games and cheap. St. Louis has good ribs and pretty good BBQ, Memphis has better of both. Plus Memphis is In the South, which brings that mystical allure. Memphis Is more humid(plus).

3rd best city in Tennessee, IMO. Hard to make the leap to one of the best in America. Not being a "Memphis hater" either.

I don't necessarily disagree, but Memphis is not too far behind them, if at all. All three are some of the best cities in the country.

You might need to clarify that you mean "one of the best cities to visit in America." Most people think you mean overall greateat city (crime, education, employment, roads, etc...).

It's an excellent tourist destination for sure.

I believe it's one of the best tourists destinations and places to live. Its got its bad parts just like every other city.

this thread is like if google maps and groundhog day had a cheap one night stand and nine months later a drew richmond thread came out and cried nonstop for infinity with a dirty, dirty diaper of rendezvous.

St Louis also has NHL, NFL (for now), multiple casinos, zoos, museums, breweries, bars, Soulard, East Saint Louis.

A lot more to offer than Memphis.
