Official Nashville Predators Thread

Nashville has a 15-2-1 home mark -- an .861 winning percentage that's the best in the NHL.

So is their overall winning percentage, isn't it?

We are 2 points behind Anaheim with 3 fewer games played. So definitely points/game ratio. I don't know if that translates to best winning percentage necessarily or not.

Wow, Anaheim has the most points in the NHL with a goal differential of +2. They really aren't the best team in the NHL. We shouldn't have lost to them.

For reference, Nashville's is 2nd best at +29. Chicago is 1st with a ridiculous +37, but we still lead everybody where it counts!

Ellis leaves with what appears to be a severe injury; he joins Neal, Beck, Nystrom, Cullen, and Volchenkov in the mash unit. We'll sink like a stone if this continues.

#1 team in the league now with yet another win.

I'm beginning to think this may be a special season. The Blackhawks and Kings in the playoffs still scare me

The Predators are now 15-1-2 when scoring first.

This is definitely shaping up to be a special season it seems.

Preds are 8th with 3 GPG. 2nd in GAPG at 2.2

The only worry I have is the PP and PK. PP% is 14.6% and 25th. PK% is 80.7 which is 15th.

Any reason to believe this, or just speculating?

It was a non-contact injury to his right knee. He was skating and just dropped to the ice, unable to put any weight on the affected leg as he immediately left for the dressing room.

The only update given since is that he'll be reevaluated after the all-star break with a lower body injury.

I've tried to rationalize and console myself with thought processes along the lines of, "He didn't tear his acl because there would be no use waiting two weeks and then reevaluating," but the reality is we have no idea if he'll be out two weeks or never play again, such is the nature of hockey injuries.

I seriously hope not. It could be a terrible blow to this special season.

Anyone have two tickets to Friday's night game they want to sell? I finally have a weekend off work and would like to go.
