Where did I say its me complaining - I just happen to know several that have given 20plus years to a company (that is still turning a decent profit) and no raise in 3 years - I would bet once the garbage economy gets better in 2016 - companies just like this one will lose the best employees --- now go back to whinning about the Redskins on VN

They should look for a new job if they haven't received a raise in 3 years b/c that company dngaf about them and they obviously want them to leave so they can hire a young person at 1/2 the cost

In the airline industry, we are finally making a profit. Oil is low so that will help things, and Chuck (I never saw a microphone I didn't like) Schumer is calling for an investigation about our profits. Where was that asshat when we lost billions of dollars in the preceding 30 years?

Everybody likes to jump on the oil companies. You have any idea how much profit XON makes per gallon of gas by the time you pump it into your car? Do you have any idea what they have to do to get that gallon of gas to your local Pilot? Do you have any idea how much the .gov takes from XON and exactly what the .gov does to earn that money?

Know how I know you're not a true capitalist? Because you're married to, and defending, an obviously deficient business model. It it was a healthy business model, it wouldn't be hemorrhaging money and relying on government subsidies and bailouts for decades.

Exactly. I don't think the airlines should be forced into providing service to Podunk USA where they can't make a profit and should be allowed to cancel fights at the last minute if the plane isn't full.

The model is no longer deficient, because the companies finally realized that capacity control will yield profits, and we are. :dance2: My problem is that now that we are finally making profits, Herr Schumer wants an investigation. He can KMA.
