and Tuttle...cant double team them both, so one is always reeking havoc.
If they try to double team both...then its double mayhem from the outside!

2016 should be even better. Someone will have to double team Kmac. Oh wait, that guy is already double teaming Barnett.

Then on the other side, someone will have to double team Tutte. Oh wait, he's already double teaming Phillips.

Someone will be one on one, and we will have a huge advantage.

I honestly believe that they should move maggitt back to outside linebacker and have him maybin and Kirkland Jr. Then on the d-line rotate tut and Kahlil in and out and start barnett, Kahlil/Tut, Danny O'Brian, and kyle Phillips to round out the d-line. Wow... I just realized how dangerous this defense will be because we have a great secondary as well. If Dobbs develops over the summer and the receivers stay healthy we can be a surprise SEC East winner!

Let me get this straight, you want to move the best pass rusher on this team back to SLB, after he had a career year at DE might I add, to allow room to start a true freshman at DE? Have you guys not learned anything over the last 6-7 years? Starting freshman isn't a recipe for success in the SEC. Guys like Barnett are anomalies. Phillips will play, but he won't start unless injuries occur. In the 4-3 JRM, Bryant/Kirkland/Bynum, Weatherd/Bates will be starting at LB. Maggit is staying at DE.

Maggitt is better at DE...IMO.

I'm not saying just stand him up at olb every down. He needs to have his hand down some as well, but he can be a hybrid OLB/DE as well. That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying every freaking down!

And he has the same kind of make up as Barnett and he also has as much or more speed off of the edge. I guarantee you since he's an early enrollee that he will impress the coaches and it will be hard to keep a guy that talented off of the field

Maggitt is is not a true linebacker. He is a defensive end with the title linebacker by his name. He is at his best lined up at DE with his hand in the dirt.

Yep. Guys like Demarcus Ware were LB's in a 3-4 but really were DE's.

Since this is a Kyle Phillips thread, I will just say that after reading he got two Army game awards, he better get a larger mantle to put all those trophies he'll receive while at UT. Kid is a beast.

Phillips will be good, but Maggit is the best pass rusher we have had here in a long time. He's a NFL caliber pass rusher. I'd play Weatherd at SLB. That'll get three of our best pass rushers on the field at one time.

Better pass rusher right now? No. Better all around player? Yea, forsure. Barnett will end up being way better than Maggit, but Maggit is d@@@ near unblockable at times. Both Barnett and Maggit help each other out, but Maggit's swim move is near unstoppable. Barnett is playing on talent alone right now. Wait until he learns great technique.

Not even debatable. The kid is unreal. If he were to stay all four years here, and Coach Strip stayed the whole time as well, which he should, Barnett could be right under Reggie White in terms of status.
