'15 MD OT Pat Allen

Allen come on man, be a part of the big orange brick wall!
We need you buddy!
Great things going on here!

Hi guys! Little lady has a question for you all but first man what a week for Tennessee I am so pumped I about can't stand it GBO!! Now I am just wondering how Butch is going to sign all of these guys number wise- maybe some of the recent transfers help? I apologize if this has already been discussed- you guys are great!!!! Go VOLS!!!!
When I look at the class we already have and who we still have a legitimate shot at I'm at a loss. Based on my limited knowledge of the rules it doesn't seem possible. I'm just gonna trust that Butch knows what he's doing and I'll sit back and enjoy.

I hate to ask this question again, and it has likely been explained ad infinitum, but I am still a little confused about the blue shirt deal. I think it means that we have to not have "recruited" someone (no official visit, no in home, etc.) and they sign an FAA instead of an LOI. We can them bring them in and they only count against the 85 and not against the 25 signed in one year. Is that right? There is added risk because without an LOI, they are still free to sign an LOI elsewhere? Thanks in advance.

It's my understanding they don't sign a LOI but just show up and enroll.

so getting us back on topic..is it either or for St. Louis and Allen? Which is considered the better prospect?

That's a good question. I haven't seen an answer to that one yet. Until then, I'm gonna say the better prospect is the one which picks UT.

Assuming we get this guy my next concern is safety. Gaulden is too small, Griffin figures to be a LB, Jennings is set on QB and may transfer if told otherwise, Randolph and McNeil are obviously gone after 2015, so who starts opposite TK in 2016, assuming he too doesn't catch LB cancer?

Gaulden will have gained 20-25 lbs. from his initial weight as a freshman before fall camp opens. Coach Lawson will ensure that and Allison Maurer will keep the peanut butter in his diet plan. :good!:

I remember reading that he came in around 170 so he would need gain at least 25 pounds to play safety in the SEC

Both are very good OT prospects that had great weeks at their respective all America events. Can't go wrong really.

-Edit- would love to get both though if only it means we keep both away from SEC East rivals.

We need those other guys too. Boulware is a stud. Stewart is a road grading guard. Jones is a stud. The coaches really like Hall. Lets keep them all.

Absolutely! We need every prospect we can get on the oline. 6 is a good number but in our situation even 7 new OLine coming in would breath new life into our current OL and the competition would make them all better. I expect a huge improve in the OL next year.
