Tennessee moved up in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings for the 2015 class Saturday afternoon with the addition of Top247 defensive end Kyle Phillips of Nashville, Tenn.
The 6-foot-3.5, 250-pound Phillips who's ranked the nation's No. 110 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite helped the Vols jump past Ohio State for the No. 4 spot in 247Sports' rankings.
Alabama remains No. 1, followed by Florida State and Georgia.
With a team score of 273.89, Tennessee now is just 0.19 points behind No. 3 Clemson (274.08) and almost five points ahead of No. 5 Ohio State (269.03). The Vols have 27 commitments for the 2015 class, including two five-star prospects, 10 four-stars and 14 three-stars.
