'15 TN DE Kyle Phillips (UT commit 1/3/15)

"In talking to several people this morning Tennessee has really surged the last 24 hours and has a lot of momentum. I believe as well it's down to Tenn and Ole Miss and I'm still not sure a final decision has been made, but I do believe Tennessee is very much right there with Ole Miss right now. We will see how everything turns out."

Nice

Tough decision for this kid to make. Seems legitimately torn between 3 schools. That's not easy when your future could depend on which choice you make.

Is that slang for "pull up a seat"? :)

VQ poster, Galilee said the same thing earlier in the week.

UT curbstomping iowa yesterday really helped us i believe.I hope kyle is a vol,but I also hope he is solid on what he wants and doesnt waver. When u become a vol, become one for life not a year or two..*hendrix,scott* etc...Just wanna make sure we got players that wanna be here cause they wanna be here!

Kyle is a solid kid, and with his mom in the position she is in, I don't think you have to worry about Kyle's commitment to college.

Thats cool, always nice to have a good support system behind them...I was mainly referencing that to the hendrix situation, ive just read alot that he didnt really wanna go to UT and was torn between missouri sumthing about his uncles were the ones that really wanted him here...now hes leaving...Just didnt want another situation like that one to unfold...

I thought Hendrix wanted to come to UT, but family wanted him closer to home? Either way, unless something changes, either will get their way in the future.

"This one has been as wild as I have remembered. Usually, we have a pretty good feel a couple of days or maybe even a couple of weeks out before a decision but by all accounts Kyle has never made up his mind and has gone back and forth on LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee for some time.

LSU I think is basically out right now but Tennessee has really come on last 24 hours. I don't know if they will end up getting him or not but Tennessee has at least put themselves in a really good position going into the announcement. Ole Miss is still very much an option and he could choose the Rebels today and I'm not sure anyone knows for sure."

Ugo trying to push someone somewhere to go against his mom's wishes isn't something that's very smart. Kyle's mom wants to be able to travel to watch him play within a reasonable distance. LSU doesn't offer that.

That makes sense. That is a rarity for this, or any, thread. I hope my double backwards prediction jinx holds true and Kyle picks Tennessee.
