Obama admin has done a good job managing the economic crisis of Bush

I've not purchased things for the last 6 years? You get dumber everytime you post.

It's kind of like a southern accent. When I hang around my East Tennessee friends, one shows up with a vengeance. Same with having discussions with stupid people. :hi:

Why can't they afford them? Because they dropped out of junior high school and can't get anything but slinging fries at McD's? And they chose to have 4 or 5 kids? I'm paying for their housing, their kids' education (if THEY are bright enough to continue to go to school), their health care, their cigarettes and booze...

So why is that MY problem? I work hard for my money. Why is it so much to ask to let me keep more of it?

There's many people who even if they stayed in school (although I don't believe we should educate everyone) and graduated from high school, simply will never be capable of anything above low paying jobs such as fast food or factory work.

Even if they have 1 kid, they probably can't make it.

No. There's plenty of people who work 40+ hours a week and still can't afford basic necessities.

I would be cool with ending obama phones though.

so you think the government is going to solve all of those problems? They couldn't shop for eggs without spending $1,000.

Renewable energy usage is up by quite a bit.

But it's still expensive, and inefficient. Payback time is still a long way out in the future. I wanted to get off the grid, and it is still an altruistic gesture because of the payback time. If Obola was smart, he would have challenged the private sector to another Manhattan Project or moon race. But since he's a drooling socialist idiot, he didn't have the foresight to do that. Belief in the .gov being able to do everything better is what he is all about. And it's flat out wrong.

My only point is: different incomes is a very basic part of a capitalist society. Due to the major discrepancies, some people on the lower end of the spectrum do need some form of assitance (HUD, food stamps, wic, etc).

I've thought about the same. I'm a fan of minimalist living. Have you looked into building wind mills? They're cheap and easy. I've seen a lot of people online purchasing old computers and using the motor in them to convert the energy.

Isn't that exactly what the liberal hero Darwin talked about? Survival of the fittest? You should be embracing failure rather than redistributing wealth to care for the ne'er-do-wells. That is but one of the conflicts that you exhibit on a daily basis as a "progressive".

I live in Florida. A zone 1 wind area. Not effective here.

I think I prefer to pay the local gas company for my energy instead of sticking gerbils in a spin wheel and heating my house with cow shyt.

Darwin is a scientist. I don't think anyone considers him a hero. Conservatives probably consider him, and anyone else with an education to be a villain though.

I agree that in many cases the more intelligent and hard working people in our society will rise to the top.....but not if we allow them to starve to death because their parents were idiots and we cut their food stamps.

still the point remains that the government is not going to solve starvation. Period. Never. It won't happen. End of story.

Where did that even come from?

You don't believe students should be graded. It is a great example of how socialists believes everybody is the same.

If I had children, I would want them to excel. In your world, they don't have to. They can be artists and poets, even if they suck at it, and get their health care paid for, their food paid for and their housing... all thanks to socialism.

Why am I even working?

So the wealthiest nation in the world can afford to spend billions overthrowing dictators, but feeding a child is too much in your opinion?

lol you're adorable. I love how anytime someone disagrees with the consensus of VN political forms, they are immediately labeled as a socialist.

I'm not even going to try to defend this ignorant straw man

If you do not challenge people, they will settle into mediocrity. It is a fact. No competition, no moon race. No nuclear weapons. No better computers. No great country. Mediocrity. That is socialism. I suggest you read about the Soviet Union sometime during a union coffee break.

More straw mans and absurd assumption, such as calling me a union worker and proclaiming I don't believe in challenging people.

If the poor live such sweet lives, then honestly, why don't you do it? Clearly these people just have it made. Why doesn't everyone?

You ARE a socialist. Your posts prove that over and over and over.

Embrace it man, I think everybody here will have a whole lot more respect for you if you do. Continually carrying socialist water and denying it is just ign'ant and sad.

What about my post proves I'm a socialist?

A little thing called personal pride. Yup, I know, one of the 7 deadly sins, but I can't help it. I love my job, and it pays pretty well. I just want to keep Obola's hands out of my wallet. You'll get to support me soon enough.
