Blind Obama Love

I'm saying we still have forces in Japan, Germany, and Italy among other places where we have fought wars. We should have kept a division in place at all times in Iraq. I wasn't saying I was against drone strikes, however I do think there is value in capturing some of these guys in order to gain intelligence. I'm all for killing terrorist, but I think it's also important to learn more about our enemy.

I was basically laughing at you and people like you who spin the idea of it's okay for a guy in Langley with a joystick to press a button and blow apart a Toyota in the desert and how it's not ok to waterboard KSM. Whatever is convenient right? I'm sure if Bush was president when we went to Abottabad the same people praising Obama would have called it a home invasion and murder or some bull**** in Pakistan.

You actually support our imperialist attitude and us keeping bases in Germany, Japan, and other places?

As far as the ignorance you're spewing over drone attacks and torture, these are two completely seperate and unrelated topics.

A drone attack is no different from an airstrike. Air strikes are legal. They are neccessary.

Torturing captives however is not legal or neccessary.

Plus, Obama has never denied the use of drones. The same can't be said about bush and torture.

You believe we should occupy them for eternity? And what is the difference between a drone strike and any other air strike? Are you saying those should be illegal? Last time I checked we have laws against torturing people, but air strikes are simply a part of war.

I don't like the fact that we have to kill people, but that is how war works. Torturing on the other hand, is not a neccisty of war and only a sadist could support such a thing.

1- occupation of Japan and Germany after the war worked

2- are we at war with Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia?

200 years from now, when all of the knee jerk supporters and detractors are long dead and gone, I think the history books will treat him pretty favorably. Especially in context.

Only if those with your mindset are writing the history books. With the state of education today as evident by our resident teacher, your prediction is possible.

Reasons history will love Obama:

1st black president

Ended don't ask don't tell

Ended discrimination against those with preexisting conditions

Destroyed al Quedas ranks with drone attacks

Ended torture

Did you forget to use blue font?

Yes of course I do and so do those governments, for a variety of reasons. What if we weren't in South Korea right now? You know what would've happened? We'd be right back there because the North Korean's would've invaded the South, and they probably would try to go after Japan as well. This was the point I was making about ISIS and why we shouldn't have totally pulled out of Iraq. How you can not understand this is beyond me. And you call me ignorant.

That's why I asked for the definition of occupation from CC earlier. And I believe the majority of our bases outside the U.S. should be closed.

As for 2, we are at war with "terrorism" which is harbored in both and each country you mentioned is aware that we are working within their borders.

When did we declare war enabling a POTUS to suspend Habias Corpus and execute US citizens?

1. If we allowed Japan to have their own military this wouldn't be an issue.

2. North Korea knows we would immediately defend S Korea regardless of us having a base there. And that base is only expected to hold up for a matter of minutes, possibly hours of north korea actually did invade.
