Very overused...much less effective for bronchitis now. If you are not better by day 3 of the pack, you may need a different antibiotic. Omnicef 300mg twice daily for 10 days is a good choice if you are not allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins. Cefdinir is the generic)

Really push fluids (water and gatorade) staying hydrated really helps too.

Thanks Doc. I usually can tell within 24hrs if the antibiotic is going to work. Things start breaking up, clearing up. This one doesn't seem to be working. The coughing is killing me. Feels like I've been kicked repeatedly in the ribs by a mule.

So I don't really like to be one to bring the good vibes down. But I know this is a strong community of good folks and prayers can be strong business.

But I lost my cousin yesterday who also happened to be one of my closest friends in the world. He died of a heroin overdose. He was 30 years old, a wonderful musician and he loved the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a good friend to me for many years and I will miss him greatly. Drugs are serious stuff, please don't let them ruin your life too. Any prayers would be greatly appreciated. I'm having a hard time being joyful this Christmas. Thanks.

Praying for you. My best childhood friend overdosed from heroin around this time of the year 6 years ago. He was also a musician and a Marine.

Been some good news and some bad news on this night before the night before Christmas. UGA losing all these staff members is awesome and could really help us secure Pat Allen. I also like seeing that UF had such an underwhelming OC hire. Hopefully none of our coaches get poached and we just might make quite the racket next season.

On the bad news side: my grandfather went to get a second opinion at Vandy and the mass that has been growing on the side of his face is a squamous cancer. It appears to have grown into the pitituary gland and th jaw bone so when the tumor is removed the chance for severe damage to the tissue and nerves of the face is likely. Please keep my grandparents in your prayers.

Man I hate cancer.

Watched most of the game and saw that play. Should not have even mattered. WKU just quit on offense - went plain vanilla. Never changed even as CMU kept ringing up TD's to catch up. I did not like the conversion decision or play call. Those guys had worked their tails off to get back in it and lose it on one play? Kick it and go to OT. They had all the momentum. Their best WR was hurt from the TD, so I thought throwing the fade to a different guy on the conversion was just silly.
