Which is why I'm hesitant to start Matt Ryan. I'm definitely starting Bell and I want to start Eddie Lacy but he's questionable and the Packers don't mind using James Starks if they need to. I've got LeSean McCoy on my bench but I'm in a PPR league and McCoy doesn't catch anything out of the backfield plus, Polk and Sproles have been getting the goalline work.

Wait to see if Julio is playing. If he is, go Matt Ryan. If he's not, go Big Ben. I love stacking prolific QBs and WRs on the same team together, but against a good defense, a bad day can neutralize two starters.

Unless you are going against a team that is head and shoulders better than yours- although with who you listed, I doubt it. Sometimes the double points is the best Hail Mary against superior teams.

I think a lot of times they out think themselves regarding value.

Right now, everyone thinks you can get a quality RB for cheap, and build your lines in the late rounds.

No one wants to sink high 1st round money into a position that gets beat on like RB.

The Cowboys are proof that you spend 1st round picks on OL and get your RB in the mid to high rounds. I am a Cowboys fan...I have watched Jerry Jones since the beginning. For all of his quirks, control issues and miscues...he has really gotten it right with the OL.

So what happened on Basilio's show yesterday? I saw a bunch of activity on twitter about it and read his blog today. Looks like he was spreading "reports" that Butch may be mistreating players???

Anyone catch the chow or have the break down? I don't have time to listen to it today...just curious...looks like a big uproar.

He's looking for attention.

I am a Cowboys fan as well, and it seems like it has been a long time coming. But he proved you don't have to be sexy in the draft. The only real disappointment the last few years has been Morris Claiborne. I thought it was a good pick at the time. To be really good, they need more defensive help.

I have Bell and Lacy as well, and I think Lacy will be ok.

Yes please.

Creamer coming on: It’s still pretty early in his development at the position, but it seems that true freshman Neiko Creamer may have a solid future ahead of him at tight end. He had three catches for the scout team against the first and second team defenses and was more polished as a blocker than most expected him to be. He drew praise from Butch Jones on back-to-back plays and tight ends coach Mark Elder was seen giving him some extra encouragement after a few other plays. He will redshirt this season, but if he can add a little bit of weight and increase his understanding of the playbook, then he is a player who could have a huge impact on next year’s team.

I'm hearing Justus Pickett is now out of the program. RB depth really scary low right now if true. Y'all heard this yet?

Scout Inc. Top 25 Underclassmen:

11. Derek Barnett, DE, Tennessee Volunteers
Class: True freshman

The fact Barnett didn't crack the top 10 is a testament to the strength of this year's list more than anything else. Listed at 6-3 and 267 pounds, he's tough to keep out of the backfield thanks to his explosive get-off speed. His motor and range are almost as impressive as his ability to play behind the line of scrimmage.

I doubt Saban would think Butch is too hard on the players. Watch that feature one of the networks (ESPN?) did on Saban last year. Saban talked about how demanding his father was as a coach and was ripping into Eddie Jackson and some of the other freshmen during practice. There's a reason Saban gets results.

Soft players don't win championships. Butch wants to win championships, not a popularity contest.

The players should expect it instead of not like it. If they want to win the SEC East ( and why even be there if they do not ) then they have to be driven by their coaches. Butch is to the players as Sgt. Carter was to Gomer Pyle.

Yes please.

Butch gave a young player praise for doing something right on the field? I don't believe that for a second.

CBJ probably told Neiko that he was going to take his mother, Dorothy Creamer, out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again.

What an ***hole.

Sgt Carter didn't give praise, as you see in the practice notes, Butch is quick to praise good work.

I think this has been overblown by Hendrix article that he backtracked on, and Basillio running with it.

I hate that it's on twitter like it's fact.

Thanks Josh Dobbs

Obviously but he also said that 46 had 3.0 or above..

JONES: Justus Pickett was a walk-on and some academic things have occurred and when you're paying for school, you have to make decisions

He also gave quite a bit of praise to Wharton and Jenkins.
