So Helm is going to Duke where I believe they already have 5 or 6 TE's already on the roster? Makes sense. Good luck on playing time.

Sadly, Jalen WILL miss the first defensive series. Then after they force a 3 and out punt, he will be back out there next to Dobbs. Fake left, quick Z screen right.

While it could be friends/gf-wife, it may also be the fact that he'll be at a school with less competition and nearly zero pressure if he fails. Even though Helm hasn't been as good as we'd liked to have seen, he wasn't ripped apart by the fanbase. Duke has nearly half the enrollment we have and is a MUCH smaller environment and camps as well as one where there's still zero pressure on players and the team. They're just happy to finally be winning. So I can see how it could appeal from what we've heard about Helm.

It's easy to get lost at UT/grow isolated but Duke is much, much smaller. And let's be real, he has a much better chance of being THE starter and state @TE there with Wolf stealing his thunder - few will admit it but even guys like Helm have egos.

It's also a good education. It's almost like he doesn't expect or want to try to make it at the professional level, so he is trying to get a better education.

It's much easier and safer than trying to arrest a killer or dealer selling meth, crack or heroin. Plus the court cases against real criminals take up a lot of the officers free time because of all the time in court.

Duke's a great school... but too bad he didn't consider this before taking up a spot in our class. A lot of guys would be grateful for a UT education.

cant tell you how many times we literly had parties inside the freaking dorm rooms at UTK. i mean hell the school furnished a party bus, for drunkards to get to and from the dorms.

If I cared enough about proving you wrong, I'd note this post and bring it up in two years when Helm is playing. But I just don't, and that would be a sad amount of time to remember an Internet argument.
