Will be 5-6 yrs I think since we just played them and only rotate one west team a yr. AU was last yr, Ole Miss this yr and Arky next yr. Miss St was a few yrs ago so I would think A'M or LSU would be in 2016.

Probably a grade issue. Most of those MS JUCO kids can only get into Ole Miss or Miss State. Ole Miss is the JUCO of the SEC.

Not suprised... Typical Miss Juco recruitment. Commit or lean toward another school for majority of recruitment then slip him some cash at the end to seal the flip last minute to make opposing coaches not want to waste their time recruiting there.

I wonder why? We're in better economic shape than mississippi, are centrally located around just as many southern states that have players that would need to go that route. Just seems like there would be plenty of need. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a battle to get camion patrick out of Mississippi now that he is there and that guys supposedly as much of a lock as anyone if we want him.

Kansas and Oklahoma JUCOs have traditionally been Tennessee's stomping grounds.

From what I understand there just isn't the funding in TN for JUCO football programs. Would love Butch to pull some Haslam strings and get Pellissipi a team. Talk about a pipeline...

That's interesting. I wonder if most JUCO teams are profitable?

At high schools, it's the football team and basketball team that fund every other sport.

He has never coached in the SEC before. I don't think he realized how MS JUCO's work and where they funnel kids to when they placed Jones there. Sometimes you learn as you go. I doubt you'll see this staff place a kid they hope to get back in a MS JUCO again.

Most of our Juco colleges that I'm aware of, especially the state funded schools are 99% commuter colleges. It would be a monumental undertaking to start football programs at these schools.
