But there really wasn't that much competition besides Drew N. from Michigan State, Oden, and Conley... he just wasn't noticed playing at Iowa.
The point about the 3 point shooting is he CAN shoot it which is a huge threat and raises his stock even more. That's like saying Josh Tabb is a horrible shooter because he chooses to be a team player and passes first unless he has a wide open look.
Please don't forget about Alando Tucker...I know it's not important, but he was actually the Big 10 POY last season. So soon we forget. Anyways,Tyler Smith is a first rounder whenever he chooses to come out, but I have a hard time seeing him being a lottery pick, at least this season. But a second rounder??? Come on, he may not be a great shooter right now, but you can't teach his athleticism or his feel for the game. His shoot is improving, but he still isn't confident in it and is even hesitant when he's open. Still, Smith's got all sorts of intangibles that only a few players in college basketball posses. Mid-late first rounder if he comes out this season, with a shot of being in the lottery next year IMO. He'll play a lot more perimiteter if he comes back and that'll def. help his stock a lot.
I think tabb is a horrible shooterbut back 2 the post. Good source told me tyler will "more thank likely" be 2 years at ut and done. He will have 2 play the three in the pros and with next year team it looks like he may play the 3 guard for us.
he is not a good shooter. Not a top 5 on our team probably. And yeah sorry about my source being it came from the man himself. If he does jump 2 the pros who could blame him? Almost like the meachem situation. If you need the money go get the money :good!:
