If we can hold onto Tyndall and he escapes relatively unscathed from the NCAA investigation, I can see all four major sports being ranked at some point in 2015-2016.

Football is trending up.
Basketball, despite the Sweet 16 appearance under Zo, seems to be trending up with a much better coach at the helm.
Baseball is definitely trending up as Serrano's efforts will soon start paying off.
Lady Vols are somewhat trending downward, but I don't see them falling out of the top 25 for the forseeable future.

One good game doesn't a great coach make. People were crazy about K. Hill/Sumlin when they trounced USCe. I'm encouraged, but not getting my hopes that high yet.

If you know anything about basketball, you can tell he is a good coach from his few games here already. His halftime adjustments are impressive.

His zone press scheme is awesome.

He can coach and knows adjustments and X and O's. He is a good game coach. Will have to see if he can recruit for the most part clean.

Ok RF how many of the following do you predict we get?

Kirkland
Ugo
Phillips

I'm going to say 1 so any more than that is simply bonus.

Today? If so Ugo is no longer committing today so you can scratch him off the list. I am 90% sure we get Kirkland and 75% sure we get Phillips

What you guys hearing on Thig to UNC as DC?

Their site has him on the hot board but many ot the plugged in Heels believe he would only be a position coach or co-DC there.

Asking because it also relates to UF DC Durkin who was linked to a rumored interview with LF.

Please don't destroy me..just want info to take back to UF boards. Lol

There hasn't been any noise about it. We heard that he was on the list on their board, but nothing has been said since. He is probably not one of their top candidates, so we shouldn't have to worry too much.

Spot on.

If anybody needs to see more wins out of Donnie and Dave to say they are trending up, then they really don't understand the sport and the state of the rosters each inherited. It is not a matter of if with either of them, just a matter of when. They each employ winning systems, strategies and decisions on the court/field. They each are highly thought of by their peers and next level professionals. If Donnie can survive the mess, which is his Achilles Heel, we have a guy that can flat coach and recruit. He has already made better use of time outs in this partial season than Zo did in 3 years.

He has to be high on many lists, HG. If he gets a DC position we can whine and wish him well. He deserves it. Wish we could hold on to him one more year though.

Nothing... I think they just threw his name out there because he is an alum. He doesn't seem like future DC material to me

Of course, fans are disappointed. These kids took up four spaces-- spaces that other players desperately wanted at positions that UT needs for depth. So it's not all about them. They had many months to make an important decision that led to a commitment. Breaking it adversely affects the team, the coaches and the other players. So yes, they should go if they don't want to be here, but they let a lot of people down. I hope they go quickly.
