I think part of the reason we're hearing so much about people possibly transferring and such is there's so much media coverage of this team. 1,000s of people following the twitters of every player. More people covering UT than a lot of professional sports teams. Everybody knows somebody that knows something.

Recently, a member of the NC team was quoted on Swain's show saying, "Man, everybody in my freshman class wanted to transfer when the season was over!" It's always been that way. We just hear about it now.

Let's let all of this play out. Some will leave. They always do. And I'd bet no more than three do this year. Let the kids settle down after a rough grind of a season. This team's gonna be alright.

What's really funny about all this is that it's based entirely on rumor at this point. None of these guys have even left yet. Maybe they all end up going, but not a single one is actually gone. They are all still on the roster. Heck, even Drae Bowles is still on the roster at this point.

Second, how do you know the coaches want to retain them? I know the fans do, but we're basing that solely on the number of stars the guys got from recruiting service based on high school tapes. How many four-star guys don't even become regular starters in college? Isn't it above 50%.

Pump the brakes a little guys.

Hendrix and Scott are not with the team, so that's a little more than rumor.

I'm sure a lot of things are promised when it comes to recruiting. Of course when they get to campus a lot of that changes. Some kids will roll with the punches and some will feel like they were done wrong. Some fans have said they actually believe CBJ is holding back better talent at some positions preparing for "the year" next season. Maybe it's a case where some of these guys being held back don't appreciate it. Can't please everyone. Obviously if the transfers keep playing out, they must feel the grass is greener elsewhere.

This statement is 100% rumor at this point.

All we know is they haven't been around the team since this weekend and are trying to sort through their futures.

Nothing is set in stone for them right now, that is one thing I know for sure.

Everyone needs to calm down and eat some fruit or something. :)

That's fine. I just want the facts laid bare. VQ says they're not part of the team. The Official University of Tennessee Football roster says they are. Maybe tomorrow they are not, but it wouldn't be the first time VQ has jumped the gun either.

I don't think anyone is sounding a 3 alarm fire even if a couple guys leave. Even guys like Hendrix and Scott. That said there are enough "rumors" from solid posters to discuss the subject.

If it stays at 16 percent including one who had an ACT flag and another who may be reinstated then not too bad. Only 3 out of 32 that have just up and left if Helm goes and Hendrix leaves for sure. If only those three, then less than 10 percent. Some forget how many we signed. Not everyone who is recruited ends up being stars regardless if Rival had them at 5,4, or 3.

Snoop Dogg was pushing for UNLV to hire the HS coach(Tony Sanchez) from Nevada. They did at 2 million bucks for 4 years. I wonder if his son now commits to play there?

Not with the team. Not saying they're officially gone, but they're not participating in team activities, which gives credence to the rumor of transfer.

I think most realize that. Obviously the concern would be that most expected the turnover to be SO/JRs who are not playing much VS TFR still in their 1st year on campus who just signed their LOI.
