While I agree that's what the photo speaks to (happiness with his academic progress), people will be all over him for being happy with charges looming. Hell, people complain when folks don't look awful in their mugshots.

Youre right. He should be depressed 24 hours a day, everyday until the verdict.

Great pickup for OSU. Absolutely kills Wisconsin. They will be playing second fiddle in Michigan coaching search.

I wonder if something is going on in the Wisconsin AD?

Nah. Barry Alvarez knows where and who his program is.

While Michigan will go for the fan favorite big name, Alvarez will land a quality coach.

Question is can he keep him? He's made 2 very solid hires but retained neither. I suspect a resurgent OSU, a demanding Alvarez, and losing 2 coaches in 3 years will limit the pool this time.

Just wanted to share a story: saw a kid at Panda Express run out of dining dollars and unable to pay for his meal. So what happens? An unnamed linebacker pays for his meal then walks away like nothing happened. Im tearing up just thinking about it, because I've been that kid: out of money, stressed out around exam time, don't know if I could get a coffee to stay awake let alone a hot meal that's not Ramen. And this collegiate athlete gives what little money he can to help someone out. I could see this guys mood go from 0-10. It really gave me
A new found respect for the integrity of this team. They're just like us, guys, and sometimes they're better people than us. Let's try to remember that when we talk down about players giving their all for the orange and white.

It was inferred from what you said, so now it is.

Don't you know how this works? You're a professor for crying out loud.

I assumed the RF knew better given that I was talking about about a subset of people and not myself for crying outloud and made that clear on more than one occasion. My bad for not realizing some will make assumptions akin to RF posters so they can make hay out of anything despite that. As bad as the others I spoke of that will read much into that photo.

Wisc situation just makes no sense. National media last night ( ESPN radio ) was saying Anderson left for the same reason BB did. The coaches have to have more money for the assistants to keep them happy and build some stability. BA was a coach there, how can he not see the need. Their attendance at the games is top notch. Do they just not have the money? Or is it out of BA's hands and the person making the decision just does not get that they will have a hard time getting anyone to stay in HC job if they don't have the money to pay the assistants properly? Hard to believe they do not have the money available. Coaching searches are not cheap either. Wisc will pay eventually, if they are to remain a factor in their conference. This bad press alone is going to cost them. Will be very difficult to find the next head coach unless they release some money for the whole staff. Refusal to do so makes this a total stepping stone job and diminishes any legacy Wisc has in conference.

Wisconsin's 4 OT commits and 247 ranking at position:

Jon Dietzen 6 ft. 5 in and 345 lbs. #37

Kevin Estes 6 ft. 6 in and 275 lbs. #41

David Moorman 6 ft. 5 in and 275 lbs. #42

Sam Madden 6 ft. 7 in. and 345 lbs. #46

Moorman was previously evaluated by the Tenn. staff ( coach Strip ) and not offered. Dietzen is one of the top players out of Wisc. this year. Probably a lock to the Badgers. Estes and Madden both have good size and decent offer lists. Would be a nice pick up to get either one. Moorman is from Michigan, Estes is from California, and Madden is from New Jersey. For perspective Tenn. commit Venzell Boulware is ranked 40th. He weighs 295 but is only 6 ft. 4 in. so he is likely to play RT or in the interior.

I understand you are aggravated by this. I was just trying to lighten the mood a little bit.

Only 6'4? When did that become short exactly? :)

Boulware could certainly play LT at that size. It is not impossible to, but he may be at a disadvantage at the position and be more suited for RT.
