Women's basketball can't be on him, imo. and Men's basketball... that is half on the fans, and Tyndall is a great hire *from an X & O standpoint* but we'll see on the other stuff...

Honestly, as an AD he has apparently made a great hire in the revenue producing sport and has helped us climb out of the financial pit that Hamilton put us in... Those are the two biggest parts of his job and he's done those well so far.

I think it's different at least in the causes because we would have kept Kiffin. They got impatient with Rich Rod. My new theory with our situation and evaluating that of other schools is give a guy 4 years. Unless he has you out of the top 20 in recruiting.

I have no problem with Hart. He has a decision to make on Womens BB. He hired Holly out of respect for Pat.

Still not sure there are issues yet. Warlick has been fine until this year, and it's early. Her first team was young and exceeded my expectations. Hart didn't hire Martin, and we will see with Tyndall. Tyndall is a very good coach, and I believe you can do a lot of vetting and still get unlucky. None of us can predict the future.

I agree overall things are much better. My point was things haven't been all roses.

I think Hart should have at least checked with the NCAA about Tyndall prior to the hire. He had a questionable past.

Now, if he did check and the NCAA failed to inform him...

You roll the dice on someone with a "past".

I agree Holly was hired out of respect to Pat and that is fine what I was referring to though was all that kerfuffle that got stirred up with merging the men's and women's at the same time she was bowing out. IMO that could have waited just to not have negative mojo going as you celebrate Pat's career. Tyndall we shall see.

Pretty sure Hart knew about the past. I believe that was something mentioned at the initial PC- the investigation at Morehead State. Hart said they looked into it and were satisfied. To be honest, basketball recruiting is much dirtier than football, and good coaches will have something in their history even if it's a list of secondary violations. You have to have a coach who is at least willing to play the game. Otherwise, you will get left behind.

Happen to have any classes with Dr. Watts? I believe he was the dean of the criminal justice dpt there. He was an adjunct for Lee and taught me business law. LOVED him.

I know he knew about it. Question is, did the NCAA inform him of any investigation?

If they didn't or investigation hadn't started, I give Hart a pass.

If he knew this was a possibility, big mistake.

How do you guys thing Chris Weatherd will progress with the extra bowl practices? He came in so late I think he just wasn't play book ready.

By next fall I think he fills some of the LB roles quite nicely. Gotta get an athlete like that on the field more.

Oh, sorry. I highly doubt that he knew about it. I think the investigation hadn't been going on long when it became public and that was at the beginning of November.

I think we have a number of solid developmental contributers like Weatherd and I'd offer Mosley as well that will continue to get better especially with extra practices and time in the system.
