Wasn't on here last night because I was chatting with a friend from my childhood. I kinda lurked a little but while I was chatting with her. So proud of our Vols! The Gator Bowl was a total surprise and such a blessing. This team deserves it after everything they've been through. It's a very winnable game against a weak opponent that is gonna be played in perfect weather(I hope).

I'm sure what happened in here last night, but I hope everything is ok with AG. Relationship troubles maybe? Been down that road way too many times. You will meet the right one when you least expect it. :thumbsup:

SIAP

UT looking at playing TSU in Nashville for the 2015 opener. Seeking a waiver to make that game count towards bowl eligibility because UAB football folded.

Bowl games are always about the emotion. The risk is if one jumps out to a big lead in the 1st half, its easy to let the game get away in the 2nd.

If we have to worry about getting to 6 wins next year we have bigger issues anyway than 2 FCS opponents. That said I expect under Hart and Butch to see the OOC matchups tick down a notch. More VT, NCSU types and less OR, OK types. Wise imo.

I expect this to be a close game at the half. I also expect a much more inspired team than the one that played VT.

Ugh. Why?

What if we have a miracle season like Auburn in 2013 and get left out of the playoffs because we played two FCS teams?

He should change that (bold) to "We want super magma geysers"

We also play Oklahoma and an SEC schedule. Don't think playing two FCS teams can keep us out if we have that miracle season.

It would be the most Tennessee thing ever, though. Finally have a breakthrough year that no one expected, then shut out of the playoffs because UAB dropped football.

I would guess they don't have many options. You look local and who doesn't have an important game. We also play Oklahoma, which is a better OOC game than probably any of if the playoff teams this year (other than Oregon playing Michigan State).
