@JasonHallSDS: #FWIW The AutoZone Liberty Bowl's official account (@AZOLibertyBowl) just followed Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs and WVU QB Clint Trickett

That is not necessarily UT's fault though. Finding another school to play this late in the season is very hard I imagine.

I understand that. I know it isn't easy, but there are other FBS teams with open spots. There isn't any reason for us to be playing 2 FCS teams.

Speaking of MTSU, they just got left out of a bowl game again after going 6-6.

Also missed one in 2012 after going 8-4.

I'd rather play Louisville than WV but would be happy with either one. Both of them are winnable games. As long as neither one has a fierce pass rush.

I'm just glad we're even having this discussion.:)

Edit: Changed my mind, would rather play WV.

Don't like Louisville matchup.

Devante Parker is Cooper 2.0.

Also it would be 60/40 Vols fan. Louisville travels well.

Here are some interesting stats if we were to play WVU.

WVU is 109th in sacks. Great news for us
WVU is 71st in rush defense. Similar to UGA this year.
WVU is 10th in passing offense. Tennessee is 36th in passing defense.
WVU is averages a -1.3 turnover margin which ranks 123rd.

Just because I am bored, here are the same stats for Louisville

Ville is 7th in sacks. Yikes
Ville is 4th in rushing defense. Ouch
Ville is 50th in passing offense. Better
Ville averages a +0.4 turnover margin. Pretty average.

I still think it's the Liberty Bowl vs WVU. I'm liking that matchup more and more. Louisville is the worst possible matchup for us.

I like some of the bowl match ups now that the tie-ins are gone.

Baylor/Sparty in the Cotton.

Ole Miss/TCU in the Peach.

State/GTech in the Orange.

Arizona/Boise in the Fiesta is kinda bleh.

I was starting to think the Gator Bowl was a possibility when I heard OM went to the Peach.

You are right, Oregon will before Bama gets the opportunity. FSU will have to go to Cali to play Oregon in basically a home game for the Ducks.

The Rose Bowl is 852 miles from Eugene. Not hardly a home game, unless you believe that if UT played in Havana Cuba they would be the home team.
