What are we going to do now? Midway through the season everyone thought we should get rid of CPF and Chavis, and now they're pretty much the only ones coming back.

Say what you want to about TT, but the man recruited and coached some of our best players in recent memory. We are probably going to lose a number of great recruits, not mention the players who may transfer.

I have a bad feeling about next season as well as this off season.

I heard we were pulling all scholarships and applying for membership in Division III in hopes that we'll be able to stay competitive.

Who gives a crap these wee weak coaches andthe only thing keeping us down. If Fullmer hires Marron, Graham, Bates, and Orgeron we should be great.....:eek:lol: like that will ever happen.

If CPF weren't so cautious by nature... I'd be pretty worried that he let his most sure bet get away.

But considering the way the guy really doesn't like risks... do any of you doubt that he and Hamilton think they've got a better OC in the boat?

BTW, isn't this supposed to be Hamilton's forte? Isn't he supposed to be a master at finding the right coach?

Yeah, look at the massive career numbers Creer has. Further, look at all the titles we won while Emperor Taylor was here. Time to shut down the football program and turn to lacrosse. We can go hire the guy Duke screwed.

TT is a great recruiter... he's not the only one and CPF did pretty decent before Trooper arrived. You might even think that TT owes CPF in that regard.

Wasn't aware of that but saying that is true he got one prime time player here and coached a WR that hasn't touched the field in the NFL and we're supposed to think the world is going to end now that he's gone.

If that's the case then when Dan Brooks leaves we should just shut down the whole University.

Not saying I agree with the topic of this post - but was just pointing out Berry wasn't a lock here because of his dad. Trooper is a great recruiter and will be missed for that but - I'm disappointed he's leaving but we'll be fine.

Wow.

Creer was the 6th ranked back in the nation coming out of high school and I dont know how you can bash his stats. 35 carries for 216 yards. Thats over 6 yard per carry. Pretty damn solid if you ask me. Is it TT's fault that he didnt get the ball more, too?

Trooper was a good recruiter and position coach.

The question was whether CPF and MH thought he was the best candidate for OC at UT and whether TT would take another job if he weren't... that question now has an answer.

What happens from here on depends on the decisions made in the next couple of weeks about who will fill the open positions.

k-town, Might as well drop it. hatvol despises Trooper and has for a long time. He won't give the guy credit.

He's probably very relieved that TT didn't become UT's OC.

Creer signed with the University of Tennessee... not Trooper Taylor. He's getting exactly what TT sold him in UT.

FTR, UT recruited Texas and got good players before Trooper was around.

I'm relieved his self promoting clown act is on the way to Stoolwater. I don't have to worry about the Cowpukes beating OU anytime in the forseeable future.
