WHY IS KIPPY OUT OF THE OC RACE???????!!!!!!!!!! i need to know i have not heard that but the poster who startd this thread said he's out???

Man, I'm not a big fan of Doug Marrone, but if Kippy is out I guess he's my leading guy.

I hate it, but your probably right, and one of the main reasons CPF has the stagnation at UT that he has. Hatcher would be such a good fit, takes up 2 positions, knows the south and the SEC. Breath of fresh air, but alas stay on the UT tree, didn't we used to make fun of Bama for this kinda of stuff.

It's been about an hour and a half now for this spot on source who is usually 30-60 minutes ahead of all other services, but was behind KNS on the announcement about Troop going to OK State.

What are the odds this post is bogus?

I for one am holding out hope. I like Hatcher. I like the Co-Coordinator at TexTech. Actually, there's some good guys out there, leading the nation in passing offense, with less talented QBs/Rec's than we have here. Good Luck Troop, smart move on your part.:thumbsup:

Didn't Meachem enroll at UT in the fall of 2003?

Troop started in 2004, but he is credited with recruiting Meachem. He was his position coach in 2006, so credit is due there.

Is the recruiting credit correct?

I heard just the opposite on the sports animal today they were reporting someone out of nashville was reporting that Kippy Brown had been offered the oc position at UT and had accepted but nothing could be confirmed.

I suspect the decision on who will be our new OC may break sooner rather than later, but that's just reasoning/speculation.

Fulmer knew enough to let Trooper go. What he would need to know is that someone he'd rather have than Trooper was highly likely to accept the position.

Another viable explanation would be that Trooper did 'step over the line' in the way he handled his candidacy for the OC position.

Just a quick note from the guy who started this thread...I did not say it was the gospel, just something I got from someone I trust who has provided good info in the past. I did not claim it was 100% set in stone. I did ask for any comfirmation or supporting news. This info was passed on to fellow Vol fans as I know if you care about the program like I do, then you want to know what the status of issues like this are.

No more updates and no question of validity. Just simply telling everybody I got info and passed it along and also inquired if anybody else had heard anything besides internet forum chatter. Simply trying to get a feel for where our program is headed in terms of coaching.

I don't think Trooper recruited Meachem, Swain, or Smith. They were just before he arrived.
