That's what I was hoping for as well, but just don't see the handle yet. Maybe he will get there.

Yep, he's way too loose with the ball right now. He also doesn't seem to handle pressure defense well when he's handling the ball. He's getting decent assist numbers though, so hopefully he can put it together. Richardson has been better than I thought he would running point, but he would still be a lot better at the 3.

I know. And to me he should be much more of a bully out on the field that what he has been. I have been rooting for him his entire career to do that. He could be a lot better if he starts doing that and he has gotten better at that this season.

Was just pointing that out to BB since he has been asking for that for a while now.

happy to see it! saw him get a little more aggressive this year.

A lot of selective and revisionist history going on in this thread. Missouri is a good team, and ironically, a throw back SEC style team. They're just in over their head today. Too much talent for Bama though and Mizzou is getting out coached today. That doesn't make Missouri a bad team though. They've been in the title game two years in a row now. Let's be realistic.

Also, they never go away, so I wouldn't be surprised for them to get back in this game. As I type this they score a TD to open the second half.

anyone know how the east is looking next year? not sure if anyone keeps up with other teams closely. like which teams are young and should get everyone back for improvement plus haul in more talent (like tennessee)? and which are going to suffer from attrition?

not sure if it'll be a down year next year that the vols can capitalize on or if we'll still be weak.

They're well coached with a top notch DL and a good RB. Not much else though. It's more of a statement on the state of the SECE than how great of a team Missouri is that they're playing in this game.

Also, I don't remember who, but one of the national sports writers tweeted out that Missouri has gone to two straight SECCG while only beating one SEC team with a winning record during those two years. That's just unimpressive.

Aren't they referring to end of the season SEC records though?

It seems like all but maybe 5-6 teams in the conference end up with an even or losing conference record at the end of the year.

idk if i agree mizzou is getting outcoached. is it really hard to beat a team with 4 30-50 ranked recruiting classes with 4 1st ranked recruiting classes?

not to say rankings are everything but a coach can only do so much. alabama and missouri both have stability and great coaches but the difference here is talent, no doubt.

I've never liked Mizzou being in the SEC to begin with. They simply don't fit and shouldn't be here. Then they play weak schedules and get overhyped.

Don't get me wrong. The DL is legit and they are a quality, well coached team. But they aren't as good as they are made out to be.

Bama could hang 50 on them.

I can't say I never liked the idea of Mizzou being in the SEC. The geography of them being in the East is strange, but understandable. The DL is legit and SEC caliber, but that's it. Last year was much closer to SEC legit due to their starting QB who's name escapes me right now. Yeah, they caught people at the right time. But, they were much better last year than this year.

I agree with the weak schedule, too. They need to fix that big time. They look as bad as Vandy to me.

True. It's a combination of luck but also just being a solid team.

And whoever tweeted that is smoking crack. That's not true at all. I know for a fact they beat a few teams with a winning record last year and a couple this year also (Georgia and A&M).

I am hearing that a Texas v. Arkansas match up in the Liberty Bowl is gaining traction in the Memphis media.

I dunno about the East, but Arkansas will be playing for a spot in the playoff.

UGA will be good, but will be replacing Gurley, Mason, Bennett, Conley, a few Olinemen. Their defense loses Thorton, Drew, Herrera, Ramik Wilson, Swann and maybe Floyd and Jenkins if they come out.

Florida is going to be losing a ton. Jones and Fowler have already declared for the draft. Humphries, Morrison, Bullard may come out.

South Carolina will lose 6 starters on offense and maybe Davis too. They return 8 on defense, but that may be good.

Mizzou loses 5 starters on offense, including every wr. They lose 3 in defense, 4 if Ray comes out and he is projected as a top 10 pick so he will probably go. It would be 3 of their 4 starters on the DL.

UK loses 5 on offense and 4 on D. Dupree is projected as a 1st rounder from the D.

Vandy returns everyone, 18 starters, but doesn't really matter.

That should say winning record in conference.

I looked it up, and whoever tweeted it was wrong, but only by one game. They didn't get any this year, and they beat UGA and TAMU last year. So 2 in two years.

So dumpster fire part 2 in the East next year?
