I can't imagine what it must be like being a religious minority in that country, when your leader is basically proclaiming you a Christian nation and the rest of you just be damned. No wonder Chechens blow themselves up so much over there.
Only because the number of Russians is expected to decline.
Ah, so the people of the Caucasus and the Uralic and Central Asian Russian republics aren't "Russian," huh? I was under the impression that there was no other nation than Russia and that all others, specifically Ukraine, were just fabrications on Russian land.
I thought it has been generally accepted that Russia, because of its large land mass, has many ethnicities on it's southern and eastern fringes.
Am I missing something?
