I don't know. He played for Coach Jones at Cincy, so he knows him very well.

He will be coaching somewhere even if not at UT.

Thigpen was with Kyle Phillips after some miscommunication as his family thought Butch Jones would be in attendance. Tennessee has had to continue to battle for Phillips as Ole Miss and LSU are still very much in there. In talking to Phillips this week we continued to get the sense that Phillips doesn't have a decision made.

You know those HS games you watch and there's one guy on the field that stands out and is D1 for sure? Kyle Phillips was that guy last night when he was playing DE. He will be a tremendous player at the next level. I sure hope we can sign him.

If Tennessee can set up a matchup with TSU for bowl implications to open up next year, it will be absolutely brilliant by Butch and Hart.

Tennessee pays off an athletic program run by Kyle Phillips' mother and can try to swing a waiver to make this game count for bowl eligibility with the UAB situation. Stones, I tell you. Stones.
