'15 MD OT Pat Allen

But, but ... Pittman is a great OL recruiter. He had to have recruited 5 or 6 top 4* O-Linemen to UT while he was here.

With Pittman being hired in Jan 2012, I think he had little to do with the 2012 signing class really. With UT's staff going all in on DJ Humphries and missing the OL class was a disaster. They only offered 11 OTs and 3 OGs that year for whatever reason. Where as in 2013 there were 37 combined offers out from UT to OL recruits.

In Arky's last game I was not all that impressed with Skipper. He made some good plays ( the blocked field goal for one) but he was hugely inconsistent as a blocker. I found myself going back and forth during the game wishing we had him and then glad he was at Arky.

2013 Pittman OL recruits signed to Tennessee: 1 (Kendrick)

Sanders committed when Hiestand was OL coach. Weisman flipped from Cincy.

He got here on January 15 2012 and was let go in December 2013. Of course he didn't sign any OL in 2013, he wasn't here. Look who he signed for arky that year.

I watched some games where he beasted it. Would have loved to have him. Oh well though.

They were saying in the radio that the DE in his side has gotten to the qb very rarely, like top 25 in the nation in letting his DE through. That's a tough stat to say for sure, but I can tell you arky fans are happy to have him.

Pittman did have something to do with CBJ's 1st OL class. If you look at it as UTs coaches are getting ready to sign the 2015 class and it is 2014, Pittman being hired in Jan 2012 means he was recruiting kids who would be signed to the 2013 class, which ended up being CBJ's.

Ya, I was referring more to the 2012 class. We'd have had Koehler Kendrick Sanders Skipper and probably Weisman for 2013.

That is impressive. Maybe I just saw a bad game.

We believe (Mahoney) will visit Pat Allen on either Thursday or Friday morning before heading back to Knoxville. Allen is an interesting case because he continues to make contact with Tennessee even after he affirmed his Georgia pledge. The Vols will continue to try there as they hope to find another tackle.

Keep pushing till he signs the dotted line somewhere.

Yep. I read in someone's thread, maybe this one, that Georgia is apparently pushing for another OT who just reclassified from the 2016 class to 2015.

Yeah PF just said again that he continues to make contact with UT but he doesn't know how opptimistic UT is on getting him. But apparently he is still calling the coaches.

Close to over but not quite yet. I honestly think he is UGA's to lose at this point but they may just lose him by looking at other Olinemen.

Yes he did. He stole our best OL committment.

Per a Scout interview, Allen has affirmed his commitment to UGA and shut down his recruitment. This one is done.

Per Danny Parker of scout, after that interview

In spite of Scout reports suggesting otherwise, sources indicate that four-star offensive tackle Pat Allen continues to show interest in the Vols. Allen recently said on the record that his recruitment is essentially over, and he’s sticking with Georgia. Allen used his official visit to Tennessee back in early October.
