I've got two tickets to the SEC Championship Saturday. There's two options here:

1. Go decked in Orange and pull for Mizzou

Or

2. Find some desperate Bammers with no tickets trying to get into the game. Offer the tickets to them for $20 and then shred them instead right in front of them. While videoing the whole thing.

When I was an undergrad, I remember Wes Rucker making a name for himself by attempting to be the John Adams of the Daily Beacon.

I've literally spent 15 years actively avoiding this motherf@#$er's drivel.

Butch is taking advantage of an epic alligning of financial planets:

1. Nebraska and Florida: They've just proven that the market is less than fantastic. The last thing Hart wants is to have to try to find a quality coach and pay an huge buyout, or settle for "an up and coming coach" ala Dooley.

2. Michigan is open and somewhat interested: Obviously, he is from there, and it is a threat. There are few jobs that will open in the coming years that would convince Hart he would like to leave what he is building.

3. SEC salaries rising: Everyone is getting bumped up, even Mark Stoops, with his ridiculous mid-season raise. Butch's agent will point to Hugh Freeze as evidence that Butch is on that trajectory, and if Tennessee isn't willing to see it, Michigan is...

4. Battered Program Syndrome: The program is on a recent high, finally reaching a bowl game. Recruiting is on fire. Next year is looking solid... and are you ready to throw all of this away? If you are Dave Hart, and you look over the coaching landscape, you probably think there are VERY few coaches you would rather have here, and NONE who you could actually land.

Butch is holding the cards, Hart will pay him, and we will have to see if it was worth it over the long term.

Option 2 would be humorous but Bama sent back some of its tix. They're all counting on the play-off invite.

Florida got a coach. Nebraska got a coach. I can't remember their names because I don't care.

Oh.....and Michigan still doesn't have a coach and I don't care about that either.

Pretty much sums up the day.
