Thats what I don't get here. Many people are limiting the money that we should pay for stability, and they are playing with house money. Why does it matter to anyone not writing the check if UT pays Butch 4 million?

If you want long term success, recruiting and stability are the most likely components to return us to glory. If you overpay a coach who can recruit magnificently but who ultimately can't coach, you end up with an extremely attractive job, with a full cupboard, and the likely candidates knowing you are willing to pay. At that point you trade up. At this point, any change is a set-back of at least a year if not more. Pay the man and let's move on.

This insane, panicked reaction is exactly why Rucker tweeted that. Butch isn't going anywhere, but Rucker sure gets a lot of clicks if he acts like it's a legit possibility.

The Michigan gig has come up whenever we've had a lull in the season - bye weeks and otherwise slow news weeks only to evaporate when the season picked back up again. That's not a coincidence, imo.

Rucker is an A$$ and 90% of the people that know anything knows that to be fact. Rucker wants to be relevant as a sports person but has no real connections to get him there. That's why he spews out the garbage he does. We actually have a few posters on the RF that consistently know more than Rucker. He's not as good as Hyams (Hyams is usually correct because he reports it a week after it happens) but Rucker wants to be noticed.

He likes Michigan. He's from there. He uses his interest in them as leverage. If he doesn't get what he wants, he goes to UM. That simple

Think you're off base. Unless Michigan gets close to the 5 number, he's not going. Has he ever been quoted as saying he likes Michigan? I'm from Georgia, I despise Georgia.

I'm starting to see more Liberty Bowl vs WV than anything. They want arky vs texas in the texas bowl.
