IMO No and that is kind of what I am looking at when thinking about pay increase.

Freeze has a year longer on the job.

Freeze won 9 games, has recruited very well, and turned Ole Miss into a contender.

Freeze beat bama this year.

CBJ has some work to do IMO before he's there.

Well, we are in the recruiting forum so I am going to ask this question. Does anyone besides me think it has been really quiet lately? It seems that there are quite a few prospects that need to start making a decision - especially the EE's. I feel like there is going to be a domino effect. When the first one commits, that will clear up matters for a lot of others that we are stringing along. Sorry, but I just don't like to wait until the last minute. It just seems too risky. I hope Butch has a few silent commitments so he knows where to go with the rest of the class.

You got it. I could never ignore you Cat.
On the serious side, what I try to tell people I know that has cancer and are going through treatment is that you need/have to stay as positive as you can, and you have to believe. No matter how bad you feel get it in your mind that you can beat it and also no matter what try to maintain a sense of humor. Laugh whenever you can, it is a form of medicine. Lastly, it's very important to you and those around you (family and friends) that you tell them, let them know that you love them. I know personally that this will help because it helped me.

Freeze went 7-6 in year 1.

He went 8-5 in year 2 while making 2 million.

He made 3 million in year 3 as he went 9-3.



Butch is at 3 million for year 2 now.

It's getting crazy over on the dark side. You have one guy starting a thread to pay off CBJ's home.

Another guy in the CBJ thread is saying Michigan Twitter said UM still talking to CBJ and plane is on way.

Congratulations man.

As many on here know. I am 50 yrs old and have kids 27 and 24, from my 1st wife (who passed away) , and a 3 year old with my second wife. We found out late last week we have another one due in August.

1. I don't think Butch is leaving and most of this is rumor and paranoia.

2. I didn't think the talk of Kiffin to USC was of substance either.

3. Give Butch a raise (a good one) believing you are buying upward moving stock.

4. You guys act like this is your money. I don't care if they pay him 10million. It's not coming out if my account.

5. If Butch does leave I say go the Kstate route and bring back Fulmer. At least he won't leave! Haha

They are totally confused. The plane was actually on the way to Dallas so they could talk to the wide receivers coach down there. Just for clarification.

You're missing something from this equation. Ole Miss hasn't had 4 different head coaches in the last 7 years. We aren't even necessarily paying Butch right now for what he's shown. We're paying him to stay as our head coach for at least 3 or 4 years. You pay more to the coach to ensure it saves you money in the long run through tickets, concessions, and general fan interest.

I don't know why this is so hard to comprehend.

SECN has changed the landscape of coaches salaries forever.

This being the first year, so you will see big contracts
