What odds would you have put on Kiffin leaving? 2%?
10-20% the year he left and rapidly escalating each year after that. Kiffin was never going to stay here. He cared nothing about our tradition. He just needed a job
Bottom Line is CBJ is the absolute best football coach UT could have at this present time. He sells out games with a sub .500 football team and brings in the recruits. If it takes an extension and raise to keep him, then we better bring the $$$. If he were to leave, UT would be irrelevant for a decade+.
That's revisionist history. He was USC's 7th choice and not even on the radar as a possibility to UT fans that he would bolt when it happened. I would say CBJ might be 2nd or 3rd on UM's realistic candidate list (the Harbaughs and Miles don't count), so it's not insane.
