Replacing the head coach is no longer an option. What we need more than anything is stability. Hopefully the staff is learning, same as the players, how to compete in the SEC at a championship level.
I wonder if the guy that started this thread knows something we don't?:thud:
I don't and unlike the vast majority on here I have no "insider sources" and didn't hear anything from a player's momma. However, I do know that UT has been snake bit and cursed for the last 6+ years, so I think the thread topic, while unpleasant to consider, is relevant and not outside the realm of possibility. I think anyone who honestly assesses the situation would admit that it is not that far fetched that CBJ would take a job in his home state.
Bottom 3 of the SEC money?
If Butch does leave us to take another coaching position especially the dumpster fire that is Michigan right now. I'll go down to my local furniture store buy a brand new couch stop at a gas station get 5 gallons of diesel fuel and have a nice fire in my front yard.

Although I don't have much trust in the accuracy of FootballScoop, I don't believe CBJ is going anywhere. However, just in case the unimaginable happens again (i.e. Kiffin), does anyone have any idea of possible HC candidates? I know I will get flamed for this, but I think it's worth discussing (and please for God's sake no Gruden references).

I lol'd. Nebraska doesn't have a chance at Butch if they were to come calling. Sorry, but they are not what they used to be, and neither are we but still...Lincoln is not an easy place to pull top recruiting classes due to location, poor weather, and it's kinda in the middle of nowhere, and it's in a declining conference that the nation has lost interest in which means recruits are losing interest. Nebraska used to have far more national pull due to being one of a few teams on national television on a weekly basis (much like Tenn in the past), but due to our conference and location, Tennessee hasn't fallen off in recruiting as bad as Nebraska...just look at their previous recruiting classes. And look at all the Ohio recruits going elsewhere such as UK so they can play with the best...big ten is struggling bad right now and have lost much of their respect, football wise, nationwide.Expect Nebraska to show interest and also Florida. As more coaches move around this off season, bUTch will be called more often.
For instance, for instructional purposes, let's imagine that Freeze leaves Ole Piss. Well, Ole Piss might want to talk to bUTch, etc. etc.
