I'm just messing with you. Personally, I hope we get Jackson and Phillips but I'm not sure both will fit numbers wise.

I knew you were, I was laughing, the Vol fans have been pretty nice to me over the year here, not sure it would be the same on some LSU sites, unfortunately. :no:

I find all this (discussion) pretty fun to be honest.

You are a very respectful poster. You bring legit info on recruits that both UT and LSU are after. Other rival posters cannot claim the same. They only show up to rub salt in a fresh wound. Keep bringing your info to the board.

My 1SG in my last unit was a huge LSU fan. He carried his LSU flag on every deployment he went on. I might have spray painted about twenty giant "UT" on his office wall in Iraq in UT orange but it was all in good fun. #coolstorybro :)

Told Danny Parker he would like to decide about a week after his official to UT. Josh Woodward of Inside Tennessee said "things seem to be trending towards Tennessee." Fwiw

I said this was trending toward Tennessee in September. About the same time everyone was calling him an LSU lock.

Oh brother! And it was based on zero tangible credible evidence as support. It was a hope and a prayer. The fact that it now looks good for us means nothing more than you got lucky with a guess in September. But, hey if you want a pat on the back and don't want to injure that overworked elbow here you go....good job :eek:k:

Oct 8th things really started to trend UT's way, IMHO, JMO, TIFWIW. I think it's still not a sure thing but I think we land Phillips. That probably costs us Jackson though.

Its all in good fun, I hate it when some LSU fan comes here to disrupt the board, if I catch it I usually say something.

A good portion of my family lives in Tennessee now, so the Vols are my adopted team. :)

Is he a little lighter and quicker than Barnett or about the same build and skill set. I others words SDE or WDE? A nice rotation of Barnett, Phillips, Butcher and Mixon at SDE and Maggitt, Lewis, Taylor and others at WDE. Should be a nice D line the next couple years.

I think he and Barnett are very similar. JMO.

No doubt...that's a solid freshman season. What Barnett has done is absolutely phenomenal. I can't wait to see what kind of player he is in a couple years...especially with the DTs we have headed to Knoxville.
