Ferguson Riots

On Fox channel right now, Al Sharpton is standing behind Brown's lawyer in the family response speech from last night's decision. I hope to God Al doesn't speak a word about anything.

yup first 'major' victory in a while, the Brits and/or French were interested in getting involved for the South. But Lincoln made the war about slavery with the EP, 2 years into it. after that no European country would deal with the South.

That was the point I was trying to make. The civil war was not started to end slavery and the EP was not issued because Lincoln cared about the slaves. It was to hurt the south.

I was watching the same thing as you guys, but it's not as simple as you are making it out to be. All of the witnesses have conflicting stories; all of them. The only one the has been somewhat consistent is that of Officer Wilson, who had the most to lose in the situation. That's all I'm saying. We will NEVER really know what happened. Ever.

So based on the evidence that was presented to the grand jury they chose not to indict, and if I had been in the same situation I would have voted for the same thing. The grand jury made the right decision, but that doesn't mean I or the people of color around America have to like it. That's where you are getting confused: you think because I am sympathetic that I think the grand jury got it wrong; I don't.

This.

Grand jury almost always indicts. They didn't indict, not because of overwhelming evidence but because a lack of evidence.

The cop is pretty lucky, if you ask me. The grand jury probably made the right decision, but they could have easily gone the other way.
