I love the socialists' logic: if the minimum wage were $20/hour, the people who donate would donate more so that they (the socialists) could afford to pay $20/hour.

"If only we had more of someone else's money we could make this work"

I'm sorry McDonald's workers but as long as it takes me saying quarter pounder meal and a snack wrap 4 times for you to ring my order up right and then you still get it wrong, you don't deserve more than minimum wage. /rant

Agreed. Those workers are on the bottom of life's totem pole. McDonalds was never meant to be a career.

It is a career according to Obamanomics. Flip burgers, draw a government check and receive food stamps.

Sorry for the unneeded bump...I just was so annoyed at that last night. lol

It was not a crazy bump. These workers do not deserve 15 bucks an hour because they work. McDonalds is a stepping stone to something better, not a place you settle for.

Hyperliberal UC Berkeley Won't Pay Higher Minimum Wage | The Daily Caller

The school has defended itself, telling the local East Bay Express that “budget constraints” require that it keep student wages down. However, the UC system has recently given big pay boosts to some of its top executives, leading many to criticize its claims of a money shortage. For example, earlier this year, UC-Berkeley vice chancellor and provost Claude Steele received a pay increase of $75,000, raising his base salary from $375,000 to $450,000. That raise could have paid for a higher minimum wage for 220 student employees working 20 hours a week over a 17-week semester.

So I went to Wendy's last night. My kid wanted that before the movie. I said can I please have the portobello Bouche hamburger. 1/4 pounder please. Dude looks at the board and looks back at me and says " is that the single patty or double patty?" On the board it clearly said 1/4 single 1/2 double. Guy couldn't read fractions. Fun times.

Probably couldn't make change either if the register didn't tell him how much to give you.

Interesting.

Seattle boss raises entire company's minimum wage to $70,000 | Fox News

After hearing about a study that claimed income-- to a certain level-- directly affects one's emotional well-being, the founder of a Seattle-based credit card processing company announced Monday that he will take a large salary cut so he can increase the pay for each employee to at least $70,000 a year.

The New York Times reported that Dan Price, the head of Gravity Payments, told his 120-person staff about the plan after talking to friends about the difficulties of making $40,000 a year.
