Fulmer needs to do this to our staff.......

but he could have interchanged UF for any one of a number of teams or just said "a couple beatdowns" and made the same point.

would've, could've, should've

It seems a reasonable response would be directed to whatever was said.

I don't know what your upset about tonight. One of the coaches you wanted to fire, partly because he couldn't get a job somewhere else, is leaving to take a HC job somewhere else. Shouldn't you be rejoicing?

Our corners and line will be very good next year

That's very reasonable as they were much improved by the end of this season. It nice to have coaches who can recruit 4 and 5 star athletes, teach them the game, and help then transition to a great network of former players in the NFL.

Too bad some of that goes unnoticed here.

I'm not upset at all, just generally opposed to your point of view so I respond a lot. Don't take it personally. I'm just a senseless negavol and you've got it figured out. Additionally, I'm acting upon some feeling of inadequacy/inferiority so why should it matter to you?

My response should be able to take into account the one to which you're responding as well, right? Criminy, I've even responded before to the conversation throughout the thread.

I think our OC departure is but a drop in the bucket and just won't impact the program. CPF will be as influential as ever and that is the heart of our problem, IMO. In fact, the only discipline and accountability I see in the program is leaving with Cutcliffe and that can't be good since the rest of the crowd is staying put.

the defensive line was atrocious throughout, save a couple of bright spots here and there. KY, SC and Vandy all made them look bad and that's a feat for a D.

The point I made was a response to a comment about the margin of our losses against Florida. I said nothing about our entire season.

Florida's defense and offense are both getting better. Florida will lay lots of points on UT next year. If UT isn't considerably better on offense, we have no prayer against the Gators.

My weapon for the Gators: :machgun:

and

here's yoursL :mf_surrender:

The Gators are cream puffs and we'll make pudding out of them in Neyland next year. We were undefeated there this year. Go Vols... take back Neyland!

I must have completely misunderstood. Your little emoticon diagram appears that you're looking for some change and kpt is settling for the status quo which sees us get our cans handed to us regularly by UF. However, I was certain that you were the one capitulating and accepting the last 9 seasons and kpt was advocating serious change so we might become more competitive.

Do you actually believe the things you post?

I suppose if our linebackers take machine guns onto the field there's a chance Tebow will only score four touchdowns.

do what? our DL was immensely improved over the last third of the season. Did you not see what we did to Vandy and KY?

I'm just not a chickensh*t when it comes to putting our team on the field against the Gators like some of you seem to be.
I'm fine putting the players out there, it's the ringleader that scares the chickenpoop out of me.

I'll watch them play. I'd prefer we try something different next time rather than watch us lose the fourth straight. To each his own I guess. You should start voting for Ralph Nader. He always loses.

Are you saying the Vols are always losers since that's who I'm 'voting for' in your analogy?

You seem to be a much bigger fan of Fulmer then you are the Vols

It's hard for many here to conceive, but one can actually believe that Fulmer is who is best for the Vols program. With such a belief, one can be both a Vols fan and a supporter of our Head Football Coach. I don't have to worry about the downside of winning games. Winning is all good. It's really simple.

very few on here are rooting for losses, you're just too buried in your own BS to notice.

Additionally, with CPF as HC you get to spend a lot of time here defending the unfathomable losses or lackluster outings. Gives you something to do with your time. CPF's just full of positives for you.

Only when Phil leads them against Urban Meyer.

Oh well... that comes with being a Vols fan. We don't win them all like CUM does. Oh, I guess you can only pull for him when he plays certain coaches in certain locations siince he's racking up some losses as well.

Imagine the relief the Dawg fans who went 0-9 against Fulmer with Cutcliffe must feel tonight. Of course, they're just losers if they still pull for the Dawgs, so maybe they just gave up after the first 3 seasons as you suggest one should.
