The Texan's thinking is mistaken. Tennesseans made Texas after they whipped Santa Anna's army after the Alamo. If God had made Texas on the eighth day there would have been more mountains, trees, water and four seasons.
By the way, what's the latest rumor on Richmond's recruitment?

Definitely seems like a long shot. And I'm not trying to squash discussion on any topic. But, with football discussion threads and off topic threads in this very forum, along with The Pub, surely we can find a more appropriate place to discuss Memphis and BBQ. :)

I would really like to have him but keep what we got together and if he goes there, no big deal if he doesn't want to be part of a Championship team that's on him.:rock:

Did anyone hear in Butch's UK postgame interview in the context of talking about Barnett say, "This is why players from their homestate ought to stay home and represent their state institution".

Was this a subtle message to Richmond?

If Richond is worried about a future winning program then UT>OM. Yes miss is better now but losing a QB and a couple other weapons could hurt them next year. JMO
Go ahead and flip big guy. Going against Barnett and Maggitt will help you (maybe even Kahlil)

Was it Richmond or Phillips (or both?) that kept saying they wanted to see improvement from the Vols?

6-6 and making a bowl is definitely improvement. Upsetting Mizzou on senior night and going 7-5 on our way to a bowl has got to be exactly what they're looking for.

I think it was a message to all instate players, particularly Richmond and Phillips.
