The one who is still pursuing charges supposedly had a 3some.

Why would her "friend" leave? She'd be a major help for the prosecutors.

This is what I don't get. If you're not going to press charges why even bring the matter up at all? Just to get the players suspended from their football team?

I wish it weren't true, but I believe that twitter portion of our fanbase would make FSU's look like Oprah in comparison, given a big enough scandal.

However, If you're out with friends till 2 in the morning then get hit by a drunk driver then you deserved it?

I don't care what state or characterization a women is in but no means no.

And, FWIW, VN posts would be admissible just like Facebook posts are admissible. Random people posting rumors is not evidence, but suppose AJ himself posted here. It would be just as admissible as cell phone texts and LinkedIn updates.

If it's a case of false allegations(and can be proven to be false, not just insufficient evidence), I hope some kind of punishment is levelled against the accuser, but messageboard speculation isn't going to crack this case. The best thing to do is let the legal system do its job without outside interference.

There is hardly ever any punishment leveled against the accuser. That's why things like this keeps happening. The actual assault victims are afraid to come forward because so many other cry wolf.

I gave you one.

The accuser's privacy is protected so that other victims are not afraid to come forward. Putting her name everywhere but the trial would have the opposite effect.

And, VN posts can be admitted. If you are suing someone, and you post on VN that you made it all up, the other lawyer can introduce your VN post. I believe this based on the fact that posts on Facebook and other forms of social media have been admitted.

Oh, I have no idea what happened. I really hope our players are innocent. But you just said that a girl out at 2am deserves whatever happens. That's insensitivity.

Not knocking anyone's 2cents here, but this is about where the original thread went south. Just a heads up. Nobody knows any real details about this case. So everyone is pretty much tossing out their opinions on hypothetical situations. Try to at least see things open mindedly before you start throwing axes.

In rape cases you are Guilty until proven innocent.

Actually, I'm leaning to AJ being innocent with her friend deciding not to pursue charges but that still doesn't defer what occurred.

This is the 2nd time he had been in trouble this year. That's concerning.

Talked to some people close to AJ today. They said this is just not like him. Said they don't believe he will get charged and it will be dropped.

I am going with their opinion as they actually know the guy and character has a lot to do with something like this.

They said not to worry so I am not worrying.
